Isn’t it pretty much calories in versus calories burnt in daily activities?
The ones not used become weight.
Calories, the basic units of energy, are at the heart of weight loss .
Weight gain happens when you take in more than you expend,
and weight loss happens when you use more than you consume.

Not really. Carbs and Sugar and the killer. Reduce carbs, restrict your feeding window. Look into keto and intermittent fasting, gary taubes, jason fung etc.
