Then was the Confederate-made Dance revolver equally as heavy? I have read there were not many made, I think it was an imitation of a Walker.

I have a Confederate LeMat Revolver reproduction. That is one big beastly pistol. The shotgun underbarrel is a wrist breaker.

One reason a lot of the Colt Walkers did not last was that the powder charge in them was so massive, they tended to rattle themselves apart much sooner than other pistols of the time would. The upside was this thing was a monster that would punch a gaping hole through anybody who got hit by it.
