Former NFL player Reggie Bush said Monday he thought President Trump’s “American fast food” spread in celebration of the Clemson Tigers was a disservice to what the team had accomplished.
Earlier this month, the college football team scored their second national championship in three seasons, defeating the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide with a final score of 44-16.
In a visit to the White House following their victory, Trump told reporters Monday that he foot the bill for a feast that included “lots of hamburgers” and “lots of pizza.”
"We have some very large people that like eating, so I think we're going to have a little fun," he said.
But the gesture didn’t sit well with Bush –who took to Twitter on the subject around midnight – saying Trump should’ve done more for the team...

He’s just upset they didn’t have any Popeye’s chicken.

Must have been bad. President Trump tweeted that he bought about 1000 burgers and all were gone in an hour. This whole issue is much dog doo about nothing and only shows what small and petty people get upset about it. Players loved it.
Well, there’s Reggie Bush’s 2 cents, and it’s not worth that.
At least Clemson won’t have their championship revoked due to some selfish jerk. He needed to have a coach like Dabo who stresses Joy and Gratitude and a love of the Lord.
Isn’t Reggie bush the stoner that thru away a pro football career over getting high?
This is what makes Trump, the man of the people. This is what got him elected, and what the crime part cannot understand.
If he would have looked at photos of the event, he would have seen the numerous salads there.
No member of the Clemson football team complained. So Reggie can register his complaint where the sun doesn’t shine.
