Why Ed Markey is Desperate to Avoid Voting on His “Green New Deal”
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh. Why, nobody could’ve seen that coming. Oh, wait… – Useless North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr told the leering press yesterday that the incredibly mis-named Senate Intelligence Committee has found no evidence of “collusion” with Russia by the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team or Trump Administration. Go figure.

Like American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller, Senate Intel is winding down its fake investigation because there is no “there” there – never was, isn’t now, and never will be. Democrats and fake journalists who really bought into this fantasy play expressed their shock and dismay, but Burr and his partner in this fake investigation – Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner – are finally giving up the ghost and directing their committee to move onto greener pastures.

Hey, here’s an idea – maybe y’all can go back to doing your actual job and start exercising a little congressional oversight over the nation’s still-corrupt “intelligence” community. What a novel concept.

Sen. Ed Markey wants to “sponsor” the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal”… – but he just doesn’t want to “vote” for the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal.” That was the message sent out by the despicable Democrat from Massachusetts on Tuesday after Mitch McConnell told the press he is making plans to hold a vote on the hilariously inept congressional resolution that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez rolled out into the public domain last week.

“I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal,” McConnell said, “And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.” In other words, the Senate Majority Leader wants to get every Democrat member in that body on the record supporting things like destroying the miracle of air flight, destroying the nation’s thriving oil and gas industry, making cars too expensive for all but the wealthy to afford and throwing the United States quickly into an economic depression that would make the 1930s look like a walk in the park.

Sen. Markey wants none of that voting nonsense. He wants to be able to keep up his 30-year practice of being a rank demagogue on the “Global Warming” issue without actually having votes in favor of the invariably-Socialist/fascist “solutions” proposed by the fake “green” community dirtying up his record.

Thus it was that, shortly after McConnell made his promise to hold a vote, Markey issued this response that reeks of desperation:

“Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning.”

Yeah, it’s a “beginning” all right – Markey may or may not realize it just yet, but the roll-out of this creepy proposal to turn our country into just another starving, third-world socialist/fascist failed state is indeed the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party’s quest to regain the levers of power in Washington. Democrats have only managed to win elections over the past half-century by lying about their real beliefs and intentions. The Green New Deal removes that mask for all to see, and it is an incredibly ugly face that most Americans will never support.

So, in case you’re wondering, that is why Markey and other senate Democrats will do everything they can to avoid casting a vote on AOC’s incredibly destructive proposal.

Hey, maybe this is another reason… – You don’t have to believe me or any other conservative voice on how awful the Green New Deal really is – you could listen to the founder of the far-left eco-terrorist group “GreenPeace” if you want.

Patrick Moore, in an interview with the New American, basically characterized Markey’s proposal as a global suicide pact: “It is quite amazing that someone that is in government — actually elected to the government of the United States of America — would propose that we eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years,” he said in an on-camera interview with The New American from Canada. “This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.”

Oh. Well, gosh, maybe it isn’t such a great idea, then.

Hold the vote, Mitch. Put these soulless ghouls on the record for posterity.

That is all.

Rats have all sorts of legislation they don’t actually want to pass.

While Bush was President Democrats in the House and Senate had bills to bring back the draft. MTV in 2004 was airing “news updates” that Bush was planning to bring back the draft so you’d better vote for John F.T.A. Kerry. The only politicians making such efforts were Democrats.

Even the sponsors of such legislation voted against their own bills.

As a MA voter, I feel great shame in the people we elect to serve in Washington.

Ted Kennedy was evil.
John Kerry is evil.
Elizabeth Warren is evil

Markey is just a straight-up idiot. He’s not smart enough to be evil, but he’s dumb enough to do damage.

For an supposedly “smart” state, MA makes a lot of bad political choices.

I’ve dealt directly with Markey on various pieces of legislation for 20 years now. Trust me, he’s every bit as evil as Fauxcahontas.

I recently drove down to northeastern Mass to pickup a mantle clock. While driving through the backroads, it was like going back in time, nearly to the colonial period. I mused at how the birthplace of liberty is now the cesspool of communism and the place where schemes to destroy our Constitution fester and ferment.

Seems like both parties don’t like to actually vote for what they say they want too often.

Reminds me of the RINOs voting against obamacare and for a wall until they had a president who wouldn’t veto it.

But this dem bill is A SICK SOCIALIST screed.

Wow.

While Republicans were working hard for their families, the Dems were infiltrating every institution that made America Great. They control the entire education system as well as the National Council of Churches. We weren’t paying enough attention and now we are reaping the whirlwind.

GND = DOA

The “Green New Deal” is built on several hoaxes. First - that carbon dioxide is a pollutant that threatens the quality of life on Planet Earth. Fact: Life on earth is indivisible from the presence of carbon dioxide. Period. End of story.

The second hoax is that mankind can do anything even slightly perceptible in regards to the concentration of carbon dioxide in earth’s atmosphere. The natural processes of nature preclude any variation in the concentration of carbon dioxide beyond a relatively narrow window, as these natural processes produce VASTLY far more CO2 than all the “fossil fuel” furnaces ever built by man, even if stoked up and running flat out at the max and all simultaneously. One good vent from a volcano achieves this all by itself, let alone rotting vegetation and other organic material, or lightning-strike fires raging through old-growth forests or grasslands.

Carbon dioxide is being reabsorbed and “fixed” as some form of carbohydrate through the life process of sunlight shining on green growing plants in the presence of sufficient moisture and warmth, in what is a relatively narrow band of optimal activity between just above the freezing point of water and about 90 degrees on the Fahrenheit temperature scale.

The third part of the hoaxes being imposed is that carbon dioxide affects in any way imaginable the average daily temperature of the biosphere of the planet. The great regulator here is a much different component of the atmosphere, and one that is HIGHLY variable, water vapor, a most wondrous compound which can simultaneously exist ins three different states of matter, as a solid, as a liquid, and as a gas, depending on the amount of latent heat energy the compound contains at the moment. Water vapor has approximately the same index of heat absorption as carbon dioxide, with one very important difference, or perhaps two important differences. There is anywhere from 30 to 100 times the concentration of water vapor in the atmosphere at any given time, as there is of carbon dioxide. thus far more heat energy shall be absorbed by water vapor than ever could be by carbon dioxide.

A second great difference is that water vapor, on a molecular basis is much lighter than carbon dioxide, and thus, far more likely to RISE to heights in the atmosphere than CO2 ever could. When you look high in the skies and see a jet-propelled aircraft at 35,000 feet leaving a condensation trail across the sky, that trail is composed ENTIRELY of water vapor. As the CO2 from the exhaust cools, is sinks rapidly from the stratosphere to a level within about a couple of miles above the sea level in the atmosphere, and does not rise above what is known as the “tree line” on mountain ranges, and at very high altitudes, virtually no vegetation at all exists.

Other clouds form from water vapor, and those at very high altitudes are composed of very fine ice crystals, the solid form of water. To change from vapor form to ice, the molecules of water have to give up an ENORMOUS quantity of heat, you can look this up in textbooks, but trust me, it is BIG. This heat has to go somewhere, and as the earth turns away from the sun, it is radiated off into space, from the night sky. By dawn, the heat balance on that side of the world is depleted, and the now much cooler atmosphere causes changes in the average density of the entire atmosphere, which is equalized by air currents moving from one point to another, creating weather as we know it. This very majestic daily energy shift is what makes all the other earthly processes repeat endlessly, and is far more powerful, in the total sum, than any small disturbances mankind shall ever be able to institute.

Praise the Lord, I was fortunate in being taught “old school”, when foundations were cut in stone and country was consumed in freedom and liberty. After that, things begin to change in schools and the slide downhill was rapidly increasing. All the difference in the world between me and last sibling to have been ‘taught’
VERY apparent!

Neither the “New Deal” nor the “Green” movements have ever been anything but a front for imposing a command-and-control economy and governing system on the United States.

FDR’s original “New Deal” was in fact a serious crib from the program promoted by Benito Mussolini in Italy during the 1920’s, and the Fascist government of Italy was held to be the model for how the economy of the US might be reorganized, in “fairness” to the working class.

The original intent of the socialist program behind fascism was to harness the wealth generation capability of capitalist investment for the benefit of distribution of the proceeds in larger quantity for the labor force that contributed its efforts to the growth and market penetration of the organized corporations. The corporate entities were to be organized into “syndicates”, a group of cartels each specializing in one segment of the economy, and the purpose of the government was to consolidate and regulate this consolidation until there was one essential leadership council of each of the various segments of the economy. Once this state of nirvana was achieved, the state, as such, would simply wither away, and the oligarchies of each of the syndicates would effectively govern the flow of wealth and the well-being of the denizens under their purview.

The “Greens” have taken the further step of actively promoting government agencies as the “innovators”, and not the capitalistic oligarchies, who would only be “permitted” to join in as the assigned “winners” of the lottery of distribution of largesse from the proceeds of funds from taxation. Those who failed to meet approval of the government “experts” would be mercilessly driven from the marketplace.

Laissez-faire capitalism was to be totally suppressed and denounced as “evil”.

Turns out, any form of command-and-control economics can only continue for so long as the great masses do not become restless, and the usually much smaller number of professional malcontents is ruthlessly suppressed, by imprisonment, exile, or execution of the most recalcitrant.

Police state and socialism are indivisible.

Mao Ze-Dong said it best - “Power grows out of the barrel of a rifle.”

Two culprits for the decline in wisdom and common sense ... I’ll include a third... the people have been bought off with government payments (hence losing their freedom) which the Founders never imagined. Recently I overheard two early 30s people who make not much above the minimum wage talking about food stamps. The one who was thinking about applying said ... “As they say, if the government can feed you, the government can starve you.” She went on to justify it because others do it. Hence, she has common sense, but the enticement is worth the loss of freedom. The payoffs are also made at the institutional level. I submit that many colleges would go belly-up without all the federal $. The reason for “free tuition” being pushed is to perpetuate and expand the left’s control of what the youth of our country “learn”.

As far as the left infiltrating the churches, it is far beyond the National Council of Churches. The left sees no need to separate the church from government when it advances their agenda. For example, look at how many “Christian” churches embrace homo-marriage, or push environmentalism.
