French President Emmanuel Macron Speaks At Interior Ministry Meeting Late Saturday 3/16/2019
French President Emmanuel Macron was not in Paris durin the protests Saturday. He returned from the mountains for a late night crisis meeting at the Interior Ministry.
BFM-TV headlines the notion that Macron wishes 'strong decisions' be made in response to the Paris protests.
The official government estimate is that 32,200 Yellow Vests protested nationwide Saturday with 10-thousand in Paris.
But in Paris the Yellow Vests included the "black blocs" with police waiting in the background until they had lit fires, looted some shops and a restaurant frequented by politicians, set up barricades and attacked police. Some cars also torched in the city.
The government's police response much more limited than in recent weeks.
It has been asserted that the government allows extremist "black blocs" into protests who end up perpetrating violence. A spokesperson for "The Republicans" party today spoke of government incompetence.
One injury during the protest was to a producer working the protest for Ruptly, part of the Russian RT news operation. The Ruptly live stream went down around 12 noon in Paris today...
To summarize, there was much peaceful protest in France today and many peaceful protesters in Paris infiltrated by militants that many believe are enabled by the government.
The events of today appear to be enabling Emmanuel Macron to implement some sort of crackdown in the hours and days ahead.
The Yellow Vests script is about taxes and tolls and cutbacks by the government hurting poorer people and rural people in France.
But Macron, the black masked anarchists and the media wrote a new script today to demonize and crush the Yellow Vests movement.

The government has been accused of enabling the anarchists and the anarchists are providing an excuse for a general crackdown on protest which Macron seems to be pointing to tonight.
Lots of peaceful protest from people across France but Macron, the anarchists, the media trying to use the violence to suppress the protests.
I have been watching this for the last five Saturdays and this is the first week it got out of control. It had very different look today. Men in black hoods and not as many yellow vest. Something fishy is going on.
King Macron has lost control of France and its people.
The stench of how this all just happened to happen.
The cops kept a tight lid on in the past and today they just let these folks show up in their anarchist uniforms to do the dirty work.
It’s no longer a protest — it is becoming a revolution. A French revolution is not complete without a guillotine.
It seems to me we are at a global societal collapse. Everybody is just going crazy and over reacting to everything. I see it on this forum also. People just freak out about everything.
