The Evening Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
The “Mueller Report” – whatever that even means – was delivered to Attorney General William Barr today.
As has been his habit, Mueller took this latest major step in his Witch Hunt late on a Friday to ensure it will dominate the conversation on all the Sunday morning TV talk shows. That’s really all you need to know about whether or not this entire process is a politically-motivated sham. It is.
So, what next? Nobody really knows. It’s like that right now, AG Barr doesn’t even know what he will be doing with this report, if anything.

I hope Barr orders a weekend seizure of all of Mueller’s stuff, and fires his ass for wasting $50 million.
We will hear more on Monday. President hasn’t even been briefed yet. He’s in Florida.
Following shortly will be the OIG and then we will start hearing from Huber.
So much for the democrats dreams that Mueller was going to issue a slew of indictments at the last minute before the report came down. I read some of them that seriously believed Don Jr., Kuschner etc would all be indicted.
Feels like a fizzle, I’m not even seeing a leftwing flip-out over this on more liberal sites that allow comments.
Here is a summary:
We couldn’t find any evidence of collusion or any other crime, but Trump is still bad.
Trump should have challenged him not to release it on a Friday.
All Republicans should be asking, “How much money did this fraud Mueller STEAL from American taxpayers?”
DU is under a lot of stress...............
What if every person - innocent or guilty - investigated for a crime - had EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES MADE PUBLIC - EVEN DETAILS THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ALLEGED CRIME?
That would be one powerful political tool...
Dumping something on a friday has always meant the person wanted it to be hidden or quickly forgotten.
Has that changed?
It wasn’t like weekend talk shows were gonna forget about it if he dumped it on monday, which if there was something yuge in it, he would have.

I could guarantee no one here would talk to me ever again because 3 or 4 snapshots in time would be all that folks remember from my 51 years.
That would probably go for a lot of folks.
It’s character assassination on a HUGH scale.

Supposedly that was Weissman’s plan - he/Mueller met with Barr & wanted to indict. Barr asked them what facts they had, what probably cause - when they told him what they had, he told them it wasn’t good enough - “no”. So the story goes.
Anyway, Barr takes over DOJ about mid-Feb and approximately a month later, the Special Counsel report is being issued, this after Weissman more or less quits (after being told he couldn’t go after the Trump kids) & other people start leaving. I’m guessing Barr shut down the fishing expedition & malicious prosecutions. Now we’ll see how the report turns out. Interesting times.
Does anybody even watch the Sunday shows?
