Hickenlooper campaign in shambles
Politico ^ | July 2, 2019 | Alex Thompson, and Nolan D. McCaskill

Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper’s senior team urged him last month to withdraw from the presidential race gracefully and run for Colorado’s Senate seat or pursue other opportunities, a source familiar with the situation told POLITICO.

The source said that the campaign only has about 13,000 donors, making it almost impossible to qualify for the next round of presidential debates in the fall. The campaign also only raised just over $1 million in the second quarter — about what he raised in the first 48 hours of his candidacy — and will likely run out of money completely in about a month.

The hope for a moderate to help defuse the Uber-left is gone.
The weaponized radicals have taken over the DNC.
Shumer and Pelosi are not long for this world.

Isn’t he supposed to be the token “centrist” that the media always point to in an effort to pretend that the Democrat party isn’t only full of extremists? Who becomes the next “reasonable” voice, Amy Klobuchar?

He is a democrat, but was actually a pretty centrist govenor, at least compared to other democrats. I wouldn't have expected him to overturn much of MAGA if he was president.

WE should encourage him to stay in long enough to go not go for that Senate seat which would be his to lose. If sending a buck like we should with Williamson I say go for it.

Gun grabber.
Commuted death sentence of murderer of 4 innocents.

Yet he’s probably the most moderate of the bunch. He’s too laid back and lily white for this cycle, Democrats want a fire breather.

Honestly, I probably would stick around as well.. When Biden fades, and he will... because he’s not ready for prime time, the Dems are going to need/want a non whackadoo to try to push over the nutters that are most of the rest of the field.

However the left wing base seems bound and determined to put up a whackadoo... The DNC knows they are going to lose 2020, but the whackier their candidate is, the worse their beating will be, and the further down ballot the drubbing will go.

Democrats want a fire breather.

The radical activist base wants a fire breather...

Most democrat voters do not... the more radical the candidate is, the bigger Trump's victory will be, and the more down ballot it will go.

No way there will ever be a president named “Hickenlooper.” Same with Buttbegag, or however you spell butty boy’s name.

“When was the last time they ran a non-Marxist candidate of any color? Truman?”

I think you’d have to go back before Woodrow Wilson.

He was more centrist than any of the other candidates and he is a lefty.

The Democrat party are pitchforks and torches where the mob rules.
