AGREED 100% -FWIW, I live in “the slums” of east San Antonio (near Ft Sam Houston) & our HEB has NICE stuff & CHEAPER than WM, too.
(SOME things are CHEAPER than the FSH Commissary, too.)
BOYCOTT Wal-Mart UNTIL/UNLESS the stop “kow-towing to” the FAR LEFT & the DIMocRATS.

The rotisserie chicken is good but too much for just one person.
I am in Fort Bend County in Texas, and usually go to two HEB stores. Both stores are clean and well-stocked, and I can find everything there.
The only time I go to Wal-Mart is to get Joseph's Pitas and Lavash bread, which are lower in carbs. Only Wal-Mart has them.
“Unfortunately, they dont have .44 mag by the pound :(.”
That would be about 5-6 rounds. :)
I roll my own. Primer, powder and projectile comes to about 10cts a round-depending on the type of powder/bullet used.
Does your HEB accept coupons? Ours hasn’t for years. If there was a good coupon, they’d take all that product off the shelves or not order it. Eventually, they just stopped accepting them.
Last time I was there, I wanted to purchase 6 cream cheeses. Nope, the cash register would only all for 4. Happens all the time.
They do. They always ask me if I have any coupons when I check out. If you register with them online, you can download coupons. They also always have their own coupons hanging next to specific items throughout the store. I will be buying, say, crumbled goat cheese. Maybe I'm about to get the HEB brand, but there is a coupon hanging there for 50¢ off the Allouette brand, so I pull off the coupon and get the Allouette.
