Between Iran Contra and the 1980 hostages, the Left wanted to impeach Bush I.
Depends how you look at it. Nixon was the only one seriously impeached. The Dems hated Reagan and the Iran-Contra investigation was meant as a “get Reagan” operation but they always have some crank like Auntie Maxine or Henry “Taco Face” Gonzalez who would try to impeach any Republican president he could but they never got anywhere.

He was threatened with Impeachment and the Gutless RINO’s sent an emissary to inform him they would not support him.
Gutlessness is the ONE Common TRAIT which runs deep with all “republicans”.
Maybe not always impeachment, but at the very least the appointment of a Special or Independent Counsel. SOP for the left's deliberate obstruction of constitutional government.
Correct, but they got further into the impeachment process with Nixon than anyone other Republican. I believe he would have been impeached had he not resigned first.
They’ve also called every Republican President since the 40’s a Nazi. The Left will do and say ANYTHING to get into power-they are truly evil.

All of the democrat congresscritters and Presidential candidates are pandering to their far left wing base. I suspect that many of them know, but will never admit, that they are going to lose BIGLY in the 2020 elections.
What most of the far left wing democrat voters cannot seem to grasp is that the 2020 election will not be won or lost by firing up the left fringe base. The election will be decided by all of those middle class and blue collar voters in flyover country who now have jobs and can feed their families without food stamps for the first time in years. This includes a lot of black and hispanic voters who have never voted for anyone but democrats before but now see unemployment among blacks and hispanics at the lowest levels in at least 50 years.
Just like in 2016 but magnified by 10, they will never see the tidal wave coming until it crashes over them.
Now that is news worth repeating.

I voted for Nixon twice; when I learned that he had lied to me and participated in a coverup I was not unhappy at his departure.
Yes, but they tried to assassinate Ford, not once, but twice, within a 17 day period in Sept., 1975. Well at least Democrat supporters did.
If Nixon had just not tried to coverup the event, it would have turned into a non-event as well.
And the Republicans have wanted to impeach every president since Eisenhower except LBJ. What’s your point?
