President Donald Trump spurned the advice of establishment diplomats as he fought to implement his campaign promises, according to a report by Vox.
The November 7 article described the elected president’s decision to ignore the self-serving view of agency officials:
Senior State Department officials and career diplomats repeatedly warned the Trump administration that taking away legal protections for [400,000 migrants] from El Salvador, Honduras, and Haiti would put national security, foreign relations, and the immigrants’ American-born children at risk, according to internal State Department documents.Trump was elected president on an America First platform, and he has had to fight the establishment every day to implement his platform.But Trump did it anyway — and concerns about the 2020 election appear to have helped determine the timeline for requiring immigrants to leave, according to the documents, which will be released in a report by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee [and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ)] on Thursday.

The Globalist Leftists stuffed Foggy Bottom in particular but lots of other federal agencies with their cohorts. Those federal bureaucrats then recommend policies that suit their politics - ie the agenda of the Democrat Party. Then Democrats claim the recommendations of the bureaucrats are not political and our elected leaders overruling them is done solely for political reasons. Laughable BS.
Everybody knows whose team federal bureaucracies are on.
The State Department has not been on the side of the USA or its citizens at least since the FDR administration. Maybe longer. (Woodrow Wilson administration?)
Other people I've known who have spent much of their career in DC have told me that while Foggy Bottom may be the most elitist of the bureaucratic clubs, they are not the only one. In fact, it is the rule, not the exception.

I was listening to a lefty on CNN yesterday talking about why Bloomberg would make a good POTUS because he deferred to his staff and advisors to make decisions as Mayor. Such a great leader, just let your staff make the tough calls for you.
