President Donald Trumps reelection campaign is planning to drop $10 million to advertise during the Super Bowl, the start of a massive election-year spending spree that will intensify over the coming months, according to four people briefed on the plans.
The campaign has purchased 60 seconds of commercial time during the Feb. 2 Super Bowl, which is likely to be the most-watched television event of the year. The ad or ads its unclear whether it will be a single 60-second spot or a pair of 30-second commercials are expected to run early in the game, when viewership is likely to be at its highest.

For the bad news later in the article: Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has also purchased $10 million in Super Bowl advertising time, an aide to the billionaire Democratic candidate said. The New York Times first reported Bloombergs plans.

The network should start an auction among the other Super Bowl advertisers for the spots before and after the Trump spots.

Not that Trump ever asked me, but I would suggest something like this short video as the ad: Were not going to take it. If youve never seen it, trust me. Its well worth the click.

I figure Bloomie’s 10 mil will buy more air time than Trump’s, and the announcers will gush over the appropriate one’s ad.
It’s all good, though, Trump can only win over viewers.
We won’t be there, right?
To: C19fan
Will "they"(😈) air it? Will "they" even accept the ad or claim it's too offensive.

I just read that Bloomberg is dropping the same amount for a superbowl ad to troll trump.
Man, the timing of this Iran thing is sure interesting. :)

Another waste of 10M.
People don’t watch the Superbowl for political ads.
Friends come together to have fun...not argue or fight.
The only winner here is the network who just got 20M dropped in their laps

Commercials are about the only reason to watch the Superbowl anymore.

Bloomberg dropped $10 million on a add to troll Trump. I expect this is in response to that.

It's soothing to know that the millions being dropped on these political ads will go into the pockets of the Fox channel....and not into filthy coffers of the other enemedia networks.

Exactly!
Trump may put up the money, but will the network accept it???
No question they’ll run the Blooming Idiot commercial, but I will wait and see if they would allow a Trump ad.

I dunno, I would think having a political ad during the Super Bowl may turn people off to the point where it might make them not to want to vote for that candidate.
