Remember when dishwashers actually cleaned your dishes? Toilets required only one flush? And faucets had more pressure than an IV drip? Well so does President Trump. Here he is, at the rally on Tuesday, addressing all of the above…plus showerhead pressure. If you’ve recently redone your kitchen/ bathroom or have checked into newer hotels you have firsthand experience with that of which the President speaks.
Democrats think the country is held in thrall by their impeachment antics but in fact real people are far more concerned with government intrusion into every aspect of their lives, dictating everything from what kind of lightbulbs they can buy to how much water they can use while brushing their teeth. But the elite can’t relate, they can only ridicule.

Donald Trump has a history of going on bizarre rants about all kinds of stuff but he arguably reached his apex on Tuesday evening.
At a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which was taking place at the same time as the Democratic debate, the president spoke at length about household appliances such as toilets, dishwaters and lightbulbs.
With his adoring supporters cheering him on, Trump talked about his administrations plans to block a requirement on all Americans to use energy-efficient light bulbs, which he believes gives him an orange hue. - UK Independent
Their studied refusal to understand the President’s point regarding environmental regulatory overreach will cost them the election. Which is a shame as they’d much prefer someone willing to impose draconian energy restrictions on regular citizens in order to stop the earth from getting warmer. Poor darlings, they’re going to have another 4 year sad.
Funny thing, people seem to have strong preferences about lighting. Including the Democrats’ own lightbringer who never used “energy saving” lightbulbs and was not overly concerned about saving energy when it came to his own charismatic appearances.
But yes, Trump’s the bizarre one.

I don’t know about anyone else but these restrictions on water are quite aggravating to me. Especially since I have so much water where I live theat I could drown in it when I go outside. Water water everywhere!
People in cities may not have that problem but in country, restrictors on water in faucets is ridiculous and silly.
So I was very thankful when Pres Trump spoke to this at his WI rally. I felt like he was speaking directly to me!

Most water is used by agriculture and industry.
Restrictions on homeowners is harassment.
You can modify most fixtures to deliver the water flow you prefer.
Speakman shower heads, in particular, are practically designed to be easily modified.
I like a good monsoon shower in the morning.
Nothing comes close to what they have done to cars. Government regulations have added 30-40% to the cost. The engine is strangled so it can meet cafe soon standards, cars are getting smaller and smaller for the same reason. there’s even more pressure now because of the climate BS.

This seems like a small thing, but we experience it (and things like it) every single day...and, as the saying goes, if we can send a man to the Moon, why can’t we make a decent toilet anymore? It is this kind of condescending intrusiveness by the totalitarian Dems that loses them elections (thankfully).

Actually just the opposite is true. Modern engines often get 2+ hp per cubic inch straight from the factory with amazing mileage performance. Impressive that a 2.5 l engine can deliver 300 horses. You are right about cost but it is worth it. I used to have Camaro z28’s several in a row. Factory 185 hp with 12 mpg, now I have trucks with almost twice the weight that come from the factory with 285 hp and get 17mpg.
Trump is brilliant to focus on this subject. Government over regulation that the public deals with every day.
I just drill the flow restrictors out. Is that bad?
I’m surprised and pleased Trump has raised this issue. I’m a peon with a simple life. My wife and I have complained for 3 years about a new dishwasher we bought - it simply doesn’t clean as well as the one it replaced. But has all kinds of great “energy ratings” which I really don’t care about.
I never expected government to ever eliminate such ridiculous rules. The Swamp only moves in one-direction, right?
The fact Trump has raised them, supposedly as “petty” as they are, makes a big impression on me.
Same here. Water water everywhere and restrictions upon restrictions. As if the usage doesn’t filter back into the water source faster than you can say “restrictions”.

Use Cascade Fryer Boil-Out — it’s commercial DW detergent with phosphates, just with a different name to keep the ecoweenies happy.

Remember that when you discover your new car shuts its motor off at every traffic light and no its not worth it. I’d rather pay 30-40% less and go back to the days when cars were designed for style, comfort and performance. Instead the companies have to jigger their car lines to meet cafe standards and the price for that is less choice and much higher costs.
There are still sedans that don’t shut the engine off at traffic lights.
You are right, of course. But just think if the CAFE were relaxed a bit. My 435hp Mustang might get 500...
But the optimization is mostly accomplished by computer controls. I hate that I’m driving a server, and if some little sensor malfunctions, it could literally shut off my engine for no reason... AND it will COST me to get it fixed, when the car would run just fine without it. (When my backup camera goes out, I just turn and look behind me - remember that?)
I would rather replace a crankshaft position sensor by the side of the road than tear a carb apart that is badly leaking hot gas onto the engine.
