Voting to convict the President in such a clearly partisan trial would undermine the rule of law. Voting to acquit the President would restore faith in the supremacy of the rule of law
The Democrat Senators have the opportunity to restore public confidence in the rule of law by voting to acquit President Trump against claims by the House that he committed high crimes and misdemeanors involving two charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Those claims had their origins in a phone conversation that had taken place between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky on 25 July 2019a transcript of which had been released by the White House on 25 September 2019.
The only thing that will restore faith in the law is restoring the rule of law.
Arrest people who committed crimes, including those in the FBI and CIA and prosecute them.
Deport illegal aliens.
It could also go a long way to ending the silliness in the house, if they got slapped down by members of their own party in the Senate.
Otherwise this may continue. The house has already announced intention to subpoena Bolton.
One thing you can be sure of, the Democrat Senators will vote the way the Democrat leaders tell them to.
All hail the Democrat Party!
Let’s see, if they vote to convict, they do so because of their deep thought and integrity to the Constitution of the United Sates.
If they vote to acquit, they are just covering up for the President and violating their oath of office.
Seems only demoncrats can actually vote based on their conscience (as long as it is for conviction, of course).
We will see. There are rumblings that 3 Democrat Senators may vote to acquit Trump.
If so, that makes the vote in both Houses of Congress bipartisan that Trump did nothing wrong.
