Mitt Romney Is The First Senator To Ever Vote To Convict A President From His Own Party

We have seen lots of strange things happen during President Trump’s time in the White House, and Mitt Romney added to that list on Wednesday when he voted to remove Trump from office. It was the first time in American history that a U.S. Senator has voted to convict a president that belongs to the same political party, and this probably marks the beginning of the end of Romney’s political career. Amazingly, Romney voted against Trump even though he knew that it would not affect the outcome of the vote. In fact, Romney knew that he was going to be the only Republican to vote against Trump and he still did it anyway.

There have been two other instances in which the U.S. Senate has voted to either convict or acquit a sitting president. In 1868, President Andrew Johnson would have been convicted if even a single member of his own party had voted against him. The following comes from the Washington Post…

There has never been a justice system designed to deal with this depth of wickedness.

Put an ankle bracelet on Pierre.

Historian Larry Schweikart believes Muttonhead will try to put the kebash on Trump's SCOTUS niminations:

MINION is still doing to have a lot of influence in the Senate because with just Collins or MurCowSki he can affect votes.
.
AND HE WILL NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP’S SUPREME COURT REPLACEMENT FOR BUZZI if that replacement is anywhere near being a pro-life person, which he or she will be.

And a sham "impeachment," purely for political purposes, to prevent an honest, staggeringly intelligent, highly puissant President from exposing the crimes and corruption that have almost paralyzed the US Federal Government, and in violation of the Constitution inasmuch as the man had committed no crime.

History has recorded the shame.

Mitt is really a democrat..

so..

~~~
Effectively he is, but he has more power than any democrat against Trump, as demonstrated recently, because he gets more individual sway than any democrat in situations where both parties act as blocks.
But Carlos Suave, or Rico Danger, or whatever his name is, is really just playing for the 2024 primaries. His strategy is already set. Most all of the other candidates will be competing for the pro-Trump primary voters, which will be the largest group, but divided they will be smaller than the anti-Trump leftovers, particularly in primaries where dems and independents can cast.
Not a single RAT Senator defected from the Clinton impeachment or Trumps. Why is evil so unified?
Pretty much why some of the founders didn’t want impeachment in the constitution at all. It became a political tool.
SO MANY “Checkers” players at FR.
Romney is needed for JUDGES. He has supported ALL of Trumps picks.
Don’t let his “temper tantrum” cost US the reshaping of the Judiciary.
Let’s play CHESS for once.
