The Trump reelection campaign on Thursday mocked Joe Bidens plan to combat coronavirus, accusing the Democratic presidential candidate of "plagiarizing" President Trump's plan.
Beyond the attack essentially stating that Biden is offering nothing new, it was also a not-so-subtle-evocation of Bidens failed 1988 presidential campaign, which was derailed in part due to allegations of plagiarism.
Joe Biden's coronavirus remarks today sounded awfully familiar, rapid response director Andrew Clark said in a press statement. Listening to him, we felt a sense of déjà vu. Heres why: Biden blatantly ripped off President Trump, and bizarrely called on him to do things he has in fact already done.
The Biden campaign did not respond to request for comment from Just the News.
During Bidens midday press event on the issue, he said "no efforts should be spared" to get private labs and universities working to rapidly expand testing for coronavirus.
President Trump already acted on this weeks ago, ordering the FDA to allow hundreds of private labs and academic hospitals to rapidly begin testing for coronavirus, Clark continued.
Biden said during his statement that small businesses would need assistance to manage the negative economic impact of coronavirus.
President Trump already moved decisively to provide $50 billion in liquidity to small business owners, and is asking Congress for even more, Clark said.
During his remarks, Biden, in home state Delaware, also called on insurance companies to eliminate copays for coronavirus testing during this peak contagion period.

Biden never ceases to amaze us with the lows that he stoops to.
He did. I said so yesterday.
The only thing new in Biden’s plan was the drive through testing. I don’t think Trump had mentioned that.
But Colorado already set up a drive though testing but they had to close it because the wait was 10 minutes per person and backlog was so long.
They really need to take the information, and do the swab, and call back with results to speed the traffic flow.
They should also point out that the Obama administration had such a lame response to the last pandemic that over 1000 people were dead before they decided it was an emergency. Biden claims Obama didn’t do a thing without his input. Let him take credit for that.
Is anyone else having a hard time understanding what Biden is actually saying. He keeps slurring his words. Do we need a translation after he speaks?
That’s why Bernie is still in. He hopes enough people view Joe as a doddering old fool to give up on him.
Joe was almost kicked out of Syracuse law school for plagiarism. A lot of people dont remember that one.
Joe has a real and bizarre history of plagiarism.
But - is it really plagiarizing if you can’t remember that someone else said it before you?
The question is will Bernie really pound Joe? And I doubt that very much. Burnie could be pounding on Hunter Biden day after day but he wont do it. Bernies playing for a buyout or the fourth house.
One of my daughters college textbooks had a plagiarism warning to students and cited Biden as an example. I wish we still had it.
It’s not Biden’s fault he just does what his minders tell him to do.
Da Mench Ya Im Joe OBiden and I forgot my message.
For a moment forget Joe and ask yourself: Who in Hades is advising this guy? Is he actually paying people to plagiarize for him now?
What about insulting questioners? Couldn’t somebody have supplied him the words for the Michigan hardhat guy, as in: Y’know I’ve been misquoted on that. Let me explain my position to you once and for all . . .
Instead of: You’re full of sh*t.
“Yknow Ive been misquoted on that. Let me explain my position to you once and for all . . .
Instead of: Youre full of sh*t.”
The latter takes up about all the brain-space Quid Pro Joe has.
