A man was forcibly removed from a Philadelphia public bus on Friday for not wearing a face mask, according to WHYY.
A Philadelphia Police official told WYYY that the incident began when a bus driver told the man to “leave the bus several times and the passenger repeatedly refused.” Police reportedly received 911 calls about the disturbance on a bus near the city's downtown.
Once the officers arrived they also “ordered the male to leave the bus several times. The male refused, at which point he was physically removed by the officers,” police said, according to WHYY.

Two videos circulating Friday morning give a glimpse into the disturbing reality faced by transit riders in Philadelphia. In one, a man who appears to be a SEPTA supervisor orders riders off a bus, some with face coverings, stating “if you don’t have a mask you cannot ride public transportation.” In another, no less than seven Philadelphia police officers are shown dragging a transit rider off a bus, apparently for not wearing a face mask.
If riding public transit requires a face mask, then SEPTA must provide masks to transit workers and riders.
On Thursday, SEPTA “urged” riders to wear face masks, despite masks still being listed as a prohibited item on other parts of SEPTA’s website. At some point later in the day, masks apparently became a “condition for riding transit,” although a rider would only know this if they asked SEPTA directly on Twitter. Bus operators received a conflicting message that transit riders did not have to wear a mask.
Under normal conditions, conflicting messages from SEPTA management might only cost riders their time– missed birthdays, graduations, job interviews, doctor’s appointments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, an interaction with an armed police officer could cost a Philly transit rider their life. The Philadelphia Police Department began limiting contact with the public on March 17th. Was this interaction necessary? This response indicates that harassment and profiling will be used to determine who is allowed to use public transit and who is considered “essential”.
Friday, SEPTA said its transit police will “engage customers” to make sure riders are traveling for an “essential reason”. SEPTA must define these essential reasons and ensure any interaction with police does not end in violence.
Those with a Gestapo mentality are USING this pandemic to assert their innate Fascist Tendencies.
I do not have a mask. No one in my house has a mask. We have never owned a mask. Yet, we have the same needs for food, toiletries, and medicine as anyone else. Are we to starve? Are we to suffer without meds? Are we to suffer without toiletries? Are we to be arrested and fined because we do not have masks that are nearly impossible to find and buy?
The Totalitarian Left is using this pandemic to assert upon the people draconian totalitarian policies they could never ever hope to get away with under any other circumstances. And, they are doing this gleefully.
Planning to set precedents going forward. And, the dutifully cowering populace in our dutiful meek compliance is helping them set Legal Precedent for doing so.

A really smart mayor would have the police give a mask to someone who can’t afford one. But smart is hard to find these days.

The transit authority clarified its position after this incident...
Passengers are encouraged to wear masks...However, nobody will be kicked off the bus for not wearing masks.
I think the guy who got kicked out is black...
What if another black person gets on the bus without the mask? Then the cops will drag him out of the bus again? Somebody might complain about racism...
No wonder the transit authority now is stating that wearing a mask on the bus is voluntary...
I watched a local TV news. It showed a video...A white woman tried to enter a CVS store in Santa Monica...She had no mask...An employee told her that she cannot get in...The white lady just left. I doubt that she will complain about racism against white people.
What if that CVS employee refused to let a black female, without a mask, into the store? That black customer might complain to some TV reporter about “racism”...Businesses do not want to be accused of being “racist”...
LA Mayor Garcetti stated that grocery store employees could kick out somebody for not wearing a mask...I am skeptical...Will businesses really do that?

What if everybody on the bus refused to wear the mask. Soon somewhere there will be mass civil disobedience. If the Gestapo uses the Riot police to quell an act of massive civil disobedience all bets are off.
If everyone else on the bus had a mask on, why would this one guy need one?
And if a savage had attacked an old lady on the bus, the driver would have reported it to the cops, and NOTHING else would have happened. After all, it’s OK for the “oppressed” to take what is “rightfully” theirs from their “oppressors,” but the REAL crime is not having a (fornicating) mask! That REALLY gets the authorities’ a$$es in a knot!
