Still, if the goal is to restore public confidence in the justice system, the only way is to wipe the slate clean. And the only way to do that would be for Trump to pardon Obama and Biden, preemptively, for the sake of national unity.
It would, of course, drive Obama, Biden, the Democrats, and the media crazy. Pardoning Obama and Biden would, by itself, imply that they had done something wrong — which is exactly why Trump might find it politically useful.
But beyond politics, the only practical course may be one in which the aggrieved party himself ends the cycle of investigation — at least regarding the former president and vice president. And let the rest of them face justice.

When someone is pardoned, they can be compelled to testify. There would be no 5th Amendment protections available, since their testimony could never be used against them. Failure to testify in those circumstances can get you jail time, as can (of course) lying under oath.
Just saying.
He wont be charged with anything much less pardoned. There isn’t a jury in D.C that would convict him of ANYTHING.
None of them would have ever gone to trial anyway and that just might get people to thinking.
I’m ok with PDJT pardoning Obama...after Barry’s been found guilty and spent one night in federal prison. I’d event mount his mugshot on the wall.
That is the ONLY thing I like about this idea. The pardon would have to be for crimes committed prior to Trump taking office only.

Can he now be indicted for leading a coup attempt? A D.C. jury would never convict him of anything more serious than jaywalking. He would win, and win big. It's not worth the risk.
The best we can hope for is that Obama becomes known as an unindicted co-conspirator.
Target the criminals who can be convicted. When they are convicted, WE win.

Other than making a lot of people justifiably angry I like this idea. First they can be compelled to testify after the pardon and reveal all the details. It makes Trump the obvious better man to pardon the very crooks who stole his time and smeared him with lies. It would help unify a deeply divided nation. The truth is these two crooks are not going to face justice in this lifetime so why not paint them with a pardon instead? Nixon got one too and that drove the left wild!
Oh, yeah. I refer only to Barry and Joe. And I don't like it. But it may be a wise thing. Hammering Barry is politically problematic, much as I want him hung on the DC mall.

To be pardoned,
1) they have to be convicted of a crime. Barr wont charge them.
2) Barr has now made it know there is now a 3 tier justice system, one for the rich, one for the poor and one for the DNC.
