Joe Biden praises Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer while trying to blame President Trump for dam failure

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, that woman from Michigan, is lobbying hard to be Joe Biden’s VP, and he has nothing but praise for her in this video clip. Maybe, though, he could have dinged her a couple of points for the failure of the Edenville Dam recently, which he seemed to think he could pin on President Trump. But as ClickOnDetroit reports, a complaint by residents filing a lawsuit alleges that, “For decades, federal regulators had demanded changes to the design of the Edenville Dam to improve its ability to withstand flooding, and federal regulators had warned since at least 1993 that the dam failed to meet safety requirements.”

What's missing from PlantationJoe's tweet is:

the Edenville Dam
Feds decertified the dam in 2018…under Trump. The onus to regulate then fell on MI, which under Snyder and Whitmer failed. Then, to compound matters, the Michigan AG forced the owners to RAISE the water levels last month to save some mussels.

If the country elects half wits like Whitmer and creepy, corrupt demented Joe Biden, sorry but it deserves what it gets.

The dam was caused by global warming and would not have happened if we did not pull out of the Paris agreement. /s

In this case the Lieutenant Governor is a home grown engineer and should have been on top of the dam issue. Michigan has many dams. I guess those expert community organizing politicians need to get out of Lansing once in awhile.

The company that OPERATED the dam had its license revoked for safety violations, yet they REMAINED on the job by Witless and our fine DEMOCRAT AG here in MI.

People knew the water levels were being kept high and that it was unsafe..

But our politicians KNEW BETTER...

I live an hour away and before the dam broke, I never knew it existed. So how could Donald Trump have had ANY knowledge of it... it’s a LOCAL issue. Just like the Flint Democrat Water mess - which they still haven’t corrected - the news just got tired of that story...

Below is Wixom Lake, after MI dyke AG told dam owner to fill it up, even though there were concerns about dam safety, to save mussels. The dirt emergency spillway failed after a '500 year' flood.

Same for the Sanford Lake dam. After Wixom Lake's water deluged it, it's dirt emergency spillway failed, too.

Now, they're lowering Secord Lake (above Wixom Lake) by 10 feet for dam inspection.

Three MI lakes (and the river-lakes above them) were made nearly useless to all those waterfront property owners, indefinitely. By MI's dyke, green AG. All the ancillary resort/recreation businesses are hurt badly, too (boat supplies, fuel, food & beverage, hotels, fishing supplies & bait, cabin rentals, etc.).

The fact that the AG ordered the owner to raise the level of the lake by (IIRC) eight feet is probably what caused the dam to give way.

The current owners were in the process of selling the dam for 9.6 million to a local group that was planing to make 5 million in repairs.

It was in the best interest of both parties for the dam to remain intact.

The State government did not see it that way. They are currently claiming that this was a "500 year event" which is total nonsense. The rain, while heavy, was certainly no worse then it has been any number of times in the past 20 years. What was different was the amount of pressure being put on the dam by the AG's order. It was customary for the level of the reservoir to be lowered in the late spring in anticipation of heavy rains.

Sorry but the Democratic Party has devolved into the political front that openly embraces depravity and decadence. They make no pretense about their support for abortion, homosexuality, pornography, drug use as well as a commitment to globalism, socialism and limits on individual rights and freedom. They do not exist in a political vacuum. Face it. A near majority of the American people support them. If the country tips in their favor then indeed since it is a democracy, it deserves what it gets. There will be suffering and the nation may not survive. The rest of us will have to hold to our principles even more tenuously during a crisis that will dwarf the current situation. The rejuvenation will come from a faithful remnant.
