I think coming out of the tunnel and on to the bridge from the airport at night was the most beautiful cityscape.

Come to Philly, it’s even shittier.
.................................................
A once beautiful city where our Constitutional Republic was founded has disintegrated into a crime-ridden slum thanks to corrupt Democrat politicians and the welfare trash roaming the streets.

Yep. Not many safe places to go anymore.
They ruined West Philly and into DelCo.
Most decent people went to NJ, DE, or further out in the Philly burbs.

Go rural. The more remote the locale, the better.
................................................
Ah, you’re overlooking a horrible downside to your suggestion, namely that the thousands of small and LIVABLE towns in America will quickly be turned into miniature replicas of the disintegrating big cities by the leftists and criminals moving into them. The mountain west already has many examples of that tragic transition!

THIS is a comment that is increasingly becoming apropos for too much of the USA .... and we have only ourselves to blame.

WE voted in the pukes that let the miserable examples of humanity to live among us and polute our culture.

WE are the ones that turned a bleeding heart blind eye and deaf ear to the corrective measures that could have and should have been taken,

WE are the ones now, because this post has done so .... resposible for Winston Churchill's famous quote;

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;

if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly;

you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.

There may even be a worse case.

You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Worth remembering...

Philly is the big boy city in PA. IT RUNS THE JOINT
.........................................
It’s a slum city worse than Detroit and Baltimore, and maybe even worse than Memphis!

From last year, with some laughable spin and an interesting lack of curiosity about just who the black folks leaving are and why...

Somehow I don’t think the Philly Chamber of Commerce is likely to adopt your new city motto. :-)

RE: I left Pittsburgh five years ago after living there my entire life. I don’t miss it.

My daughter graduated from Grove City College, just an hour from Pittsburgh. We used to visit the city everytime we went to Grove City college. I found it quite pleasant and the skyline nice. Great restaurants too. A great University town too with Univ. of Pitt, Carnegie Mellon, Chatham University, etc.

Just curious, What made it so bad now and where did you move to?

“ Pittsburgh calls itself the Paris of the Appalachians?”

I’ve lived near Pittsburgh for over 60 years and NEVER Heard that description.

This article seems a bit woke for a red state article. Or perhaps it’s just far too progressive in the traditional sense. People have to help themselves, quit defiling their own natures and reject all the free stuff and they will be fine.
