Protests in 140 cities across America in the wake of the death of George Floyd devolved into violent looting and riots that have destroyed black lives, black livelihoods, and black monuments. At least 26 Americans have died in the riots, most of them black. The first two weeks of these deadly riots were officially the most destructive riots in U.S. history when it comes to insurance claims.
The looting, vandalism, and arson that took place between May 26 and June 8, 2020, will result in at least $1 billion to $2 billion in paid insurance claims, Axios reported on Wednesday. This total eclipses the $775 million (in 1992 dollars) — $1.4 billion (in 2020 dollars) — paid out after the Los Angeles riots following the acquittal of the police officers who brutalized Rodney King. Other riots in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s did not reach $500 million in 2020 dollars.
More than 700 buildings were damaged or destroyed in Minneapolis alone.

Has anybody done a video with someone as heavy (or heavier) than Derek Chauvin kneeling with his left knee on the neck of someone the same size (or smaller) than George Floyd, for say, 10-15 minutes?
After laying on an unpadded carpeted floor for a few minutes, I (66 yrs old, 6’1”, 185#) had my wife (130#) kneel on my neck, putting maybe 1/3 of her weight there for only a minute, and felt only a slight increase in difficulty breathing than before she put her knee there. And that was mostly because of the added weight on my chest. It seemed like I could manage alright for maybe even a half hour, but not sure; I’m getting old after all. I asked her to put more pressure there, which she did momentarily, until I said, “you better stop, so this old man doesn’t have to go to the chiro”.

That’s strange, CNN told me they were mostly peaceful protests, how does that do $2 billion in damages. I’m sure they’ll tell me a good excuse as to why any moment now, after they find a way to blame Trump.

When Trump is reelected there will be a lot more violence in the streets and we are just going to have to go for the old fashioned answers that have always worked in the past.
Riot guns stop riots almost instantly. If they don’t, reapply twice more and recheck the situation.
Call the situation something along the lines of the Democrat 2020 election insurrection.
