I think drugs should be legal. They had to amend the Constitution when the federal government banned alcohol, and I don’t see anything different in the Constitution that lets the federal government ban cocaine without also amending the Constitution.

During the 1980s and 1990s, when Mr. Biden was a senator from Delaware, he and other leaders of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee helped fashion a string of bills that overhauled the country’s crime laws.

Among the most significant were: the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984, which established mandatory minimum sentences for drug offenses; the 1986 Anti-Drug Abuse Act, which imposed harsher sentences for possession of crack than for possession of powder cocaine; and the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which was essentially a catchall tough-on-crime bill.

Biden needs to sit down and breathe into a paper bag.....he must be dizzy what with all the contradictory positions he's been taking on Black crime lately.

Biden's 2020 OpEd promises he is “the progress" at the end of one of the nation's "darkest moments" and is committed to:

<><> to ensure that every police department in the country undertakes a comprehensive review of hiring, training, and de-escalation practices,

<><> to stop the transfer of weapons of war to local police forces, improve oversight and accountability, and create a model use-of-force standard.

My, my how Biden changes with the times.....his motto is "forget what I say.....just go with the flow."

to cops accused of misconduct. Biden’s “Police Officer’s Bill of Rights Act” strengthened protections for accused officers.

<><> The Biden bill restricted when and how police misconduct investigations could take place,
<><> Biden’s bill limited interviews to one interrogator at a time and required accused officers be represented by counsel.

<><> The Biden bill called for full reinstatement of a l/e agency that materially violated Biden-enumerated Cops' Rights (w/ specified limitations).

A modified version was included in the Biden-Thurmond Violent Crime Control Act of 1991 which was later included in Bill Clinton’s controversial 1994 crime bill. Hilary vociferously endorsed Bill Clinton’s controversial 1994 crime bill, deriding Blacks as “super-predators” in her public comments.

Yes, the bill was in response to the widespread mayhem born of the crack epidemic, especially in the black community.

And we don't have mass incarceration.

We need it though.

We have repeat offenders that commit ever increasing violent crimes that do little to no time.

The harm to the innocent is immeasurable.
