The Latest New York Times "Viet Nam Flashback" Gambit
The New York Times | November 29, 2004

I noticed this morning at Starbucks that the headline above the fold on this morning's "Old Grey Whore" is pushing the belief that the Iraqi River Operations against the Terrorists (my word, not theirs, of course!) is remeniscent of Viet Nam.

You have to give the Whore credit...she never stops!

Vietnam has rivers... Iraq has rivers. If you work at the NY Times, that's an amazing coincidence!

If I read the report correctly last night, actually a (British) soldier too young to have fought in Viet Nam was quoted a saying something about how the foliage looked like the Viet Nam he had seen in movies.

Nonetheless, the NYT would not miss the opportunity.

They won't stop. Although Bush has been re-elected, they still want to cut back on his popularity and render him a lame dog as soon as possible.

Remember, they brought down Nixon with their Watergate scam early in his second term after he won a sweeping victory.
