Glad they are changing this. NYC resident love their dogs and I am sure would never leave. Most NYC dogs are very used to lots of people and are not prone to getting nervous in big crowds.

I agree. Allowing folks to bring their dogs should be more beneficial than not. IMHO there may be some issues but overall dogs are more loyal to people than some people are.

There are numerous dog parks in our city, and overall, the dogs behave very well together. I wonder if this is something that certain shelters might be able to offer. It would keep at least a lot of dogs in one place, there would be only one area for "clean up on aisle five", and humans could sit in the fenced area with their dogs. There has to be a better solution than just abandoning animals or staying behind with them in a highly dangerous situation.
