Mild quake jolts western Iran

A mild earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale jolted the suburbs of Iran's western city of Qasr-e-Shirin in Kermanshah province Thursday morning.

According to the Kermanshah Seismological Network affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor hit the outskirts of the city at 5:11 hours local time (00:41 GMT).

The tremble was felt in an area measuring 24.56 degrees in latitude and 45.58 degrees in longitude.

There were no reports of any casualty or damage caused by the quake.
