EATING disorders aren't just for girls anymore. Dennis Quaid confesses in the new issue of Best Life that he battled "manorexia" in the mid-'90s. After losing 40 pounds to play Doc Holliday in "Wyatt Earp," Quaid says, "My arms were so skinny that I couldn't pull myself out of a pool. I'd look in the mirror and still see a 180-pound guy, even though I was 138 pounds." Quaid, now fit and elegant on the mag's cover, says, "for many years, I was obsessed about what I was eating, how many calories it had, and how much exercise I'd have to do."

Quaid was excellent as Doc Holliday, as was Val Kilmer (Tombostone). Glad he's pulled himself out of the eating-disorder trap.

I look in the mirror and see a 180 pound man even though I am 250. I have trouble pulling myself out of the pool, too.

Wait that's more information than you all need to know.

I think Randy was eating for both of them. But Dennis also had a little help from nose-candy, as I recall. Checked himself into a clinic for 6 months.

Now that he's gaining weight back he may soon be ready for a "manzier".

(Or maybe he can borrow Randy's.)

Also, I doubt Meg Ryan can cook.

True, but I'm not all that interested in her ability to use a frying pan...

Meg Ryan has somehow managed to transform herself into a skank since she dumped Quiad. Unbelievable, but true.

Personally, I though Val was a better Doc Holliday. So many good one-liners in "Tombstone."

Yes, Kilmer was excellent, and Tombstone did have some really good quips. I think part of what made Quaid's Holliday so convincing was the actor's weight loss. He just looked and behaved more like someone who was ill.

My fav Tombstone giggle:

Clayborne: He's so drunk, he's probably seein' double!

Holliday (drawing a second pistol): I got two guns,... one for each of ya

LOL, MG. Cousin Eddie strikes. I love Randy in that movie--Eddie and his visible dickey-lines bust my gut.

Yep. That's hilarious.

Notice the Marty Moose glasses that they're drinking eggnog out of it too.

No matter how many times I see that movie (more during the holidays), I always laugh.

LOL on those Marty Moose Mugs. In thinking of Cousin Eddie re-dipping his into the punch, I can just hear him (loudly) slurp and "ahhhhh" it up. Poor Clark.

I feel the same as you about that movie, MG--no matter how many times...BIG laughs. :-)

Tree...squirrel...Uncle Lewis...cigar...toupee...fire....
