A contractor by trade, Huibers built the ark of cedar and pine -- biblical scholars debate exactly what the wood used by Noah would have been. Am I wrong or did the Bible say it was Gopherwood?

"Reckoning by the old biblical measurements, Johan's fully functional ark is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide."
Oops, Johan. That should have been 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high.

“Life-size models of giraffes, elephants, lions, crocodiles, zebras, bison and other animals”.................. Whewwww! Thank goodness, otherwise they’ll need an army to feed them and shovel the crap over board.

“In fact, Noah’s Ark as described in the Bible was five times larger than Johan’s Ark.”
So, what’s with this “full size ‘replica’ in Holland” crapola?

I drove through Schagen last year and saw it being built. Pretty impressive. I think it will remain on the barge that you can see in the pic... but I’m not positive.

Compliments to Huibers. It is probably more difficult being a Creationist in a Western European country such as the Netherlands than in the United States.

Noah’s ark did not “sail.” It drifted with an attitude. This replica seems to be lacking in altitude.
