All my kitties are former strays, my dog is a purebred Jack Russell Terrier. Adopt whatever critter you like, and may you both have many years of happiness together.
I have three dogs so far. I do try to rescue when I can, and two of my dogs are rescues. But my other dog I got as a pup from a reputable breeder, and I don’t regret that either. She is a gorgeous example of a Boxer. My husband wants a Great Dane when he gets home, and I have signed up for Great Dane rescue, but we may still go with a puppy from a breeder, because Danes can have some major issues when not bred properly.
