Also no mention of this “joke”.. keeping daughter away from Spitzer....I thought that was just as crude!
The only thing that matters is Letterman’s ratings and I do not think his ratings will be negatively effected.
When this first exploded, Letterman said that he was confused between the two daughters and would never make sexual jokes about a 14-year-old.
Now he is claiming he did not know anyone was with Palin at the game besides Giuliani. .
Letterman seems to me melting down. Palin shouldn’t say another word about it, even if asked.

The "slutty flight attendant" crack is relatively tame for late night talk shows. I've heard Leno make countless "jokes" about Cheney's heart condition -- hardly a laughing matter, obviously. Both he and Letterman cross the line of decency on a regular basis.

It was a better apology than Bush ever got from CBS and Rather over those forged memos.......I feel like we’ve made progress. Now I can go back to completely ignoring Letterman which suits me fine........
Let the outrage continue against Letterman and his sponsors. They think the American people are dumb and he thinks we’ll buy his BS. Wrong!

I am a huge proponent of free speech. The market place should dictate what is tolerated and what is not.
Sharpton mounted an attack against Imus. It worked.
We have to start a push back. This is a small step.
Are much more important matters to attend to? Of course.
But, imho, to try to contain the media is a big deal.

I was going to make a crack about Letterman’s pace-maker but I’m not as hateful as he is so I won’t go there.
Well, I hope he’s had it tuned up recently, because it’s going to get a workout tomorrow when he sees a thousand angry protesters outside his studio!
Actually, the founders of the site firedavidletterman.com were on Greta’s show tonight and they said they are expecting over 200 to come, which, considering it is liberal New York, I think is pretty good..Most Americans think what he said was disgusting, but can’t make it to New York. If I could go, I would be on a plane ride to New York right now. But I don’t think the amount of protesters matter, it is not the amount, we must continue to hit his sponsors hard, that is the way to get the message across. Hit CBS hard in the pocketbook and heads will roll. Remember, Letterman has been making nasty sex jokes about Sarah for months
