Question for any freepers out there who would know.
What hotels do MLB teams stay in, when they stay in the Windy City of Chicago?
Particular interest, what hotels do the Mets and Yankees stay in, when they are in Chicago?
I know this is an odd question, I'm doing some research for future vacations, in different cities, and this was something that wound up interesting me.
The mets should stay at a homeless shelter, Motel 6 is to good for them.....Is there a hooters tower in chicago? lol
I've heard that most sports teams that visit chicago stay at Westin Chicago River North, but I'm just interested in a general idea.
This request does not sound that unusual. A few years back, when the Yankees played here in the SF Bay Area, there was actual mention of this on the local news. They said that in each city where the Yankees play, lots of people show up at the lobby of their hotel to greet them when they arrive there. The local press equated the phenom to the type of greeting rock stars receive when touring. They commented that this is common where ever the Yankees go to play, and that they are the only MLB baseball team for which this is true - again emphasizing that the Yankees are the “rock stars” of baseball.
For what it is worth. I am not a Yankees fan, nor do I follow any baseball team myself, I am simply repeating what I remember hearing in the local media a few years back.
Are you going to take naked pictures of them in their hotel room. Just kidding. I bet the Yankees stay at the Mariott while the mets stay at the Motel 6. Seriously, I would check some downtown Chicago major large hotels.
I know the Cardinals used to stay in the Westin Michigan Avenue, but switched after Kile died there. Don’t know if they changed back or not.
