His other major driving force seems to be the decidedly UN-black socialism he embraced in college. Most of the folks he dealt with in his classes, and socially, were whites who had adopted the socialist agenda. The only place that socialism coincides with blacks is within Black Liberation Theology, which doesn't draw that many black people in the US.
