I don't believe this anecdote, but it is amusing.
If it is true and why not, it seems to me that it is not normal behavior. It strikes me that he may have been afraid to leave his room alone.
Seems very "coincidental"/sarc that she "died" just hours before she talked to journalists about Barry's arrival. The timing could have been just when she was sharing possible info about Barry and stranger yet that he was suppose to be coming in very soon and never came even though his supposedly beloved adopted sister just died. I am really wondering what was going on. Something strange for sure, possible murder, no doubt occurred. The whole thing sounds like some kind of setup.
Who were the journalists, what story did they write if any and did they live to tell the story?
Were they real journalist or just finding out what she knew and what she might spill?
It is strange that this article often calls Obama a sister. Also that he was filthy.

Apparently the Indonesian language is not as gender specific as English. The gender is derived from context. That makes it difficult for translation software to accurately determine the sex of the person being spoken about. What we need is a person who can accurately translate these stories from Indonesian to English. Anybody out there?
In the comments at the blog that posted the original article, another Indonesian story is cited. That story said that she died from hardening of the arteries, which made her neck arteries burst. Sound plausible? An Asian woman in her early 50s—and we’re supposed to believe she had a fatal stroke brought on by high cholesterol? Maybe her neck arteries did burst, but perhaps not on their own and not because of plaque build up.

That’s the crux of the matter.
This woman became known to the media, at least in Indonesia. They interviewed her. She’s spilling all kinds of details that are hard for someone to make up but relatively easy to confirm. Obama is scheduled to visit Indonesia. She’s already known there as his foster sister, so their media would expect him to meet with her, to reminisce. But can he bear media scrutiny of that meeting? Suddenly, Obama cancels the trip on very flimsy grounds, and Lia conveniently and suddenly dies.
There’s no mention of this foster sister in his fictional autobiography. Is there?
Maya doesn’t remember her, or so she says. But Maya wasn’t yet born and one has to wonder how much time Maya lived with her father after her parents split up, when she was still very young. She WOULD know or remember very little about Obama’s years in Indonesia.
But there could be other explanations: Obama forgot to mention Lia to Bill Ayers, when Ayers was writing the book for him.
But perhaps the person upon whose behalf that book was written is NOT the boy that lived with Lia, so that’s why Ayers didn’t write about Lia. Lia becomes one of those inconvenient truths.

It sounds to me as if Barry wanted to go back to Hawaii with SAD but Lolo had the authority to say no, which he did, which is why Barry was crying. I wonder if this is the point in time when Barry left the Catholic school and went to the Muslim one. Did his mother leave him behind in Indonesia with Lolo? Is that why Soebarkah was excluded from his mother’s passport in 1968?
Persons familiar with Indonesian culture and laws at that time seem to agree that Muslim men ruled the roost and that included anybody living in the household. In addition, it seems that in order for SAD and Barry to live in Indonesia indefinitely, both would have had to convert to Islam and become Indonesian citizens. If Barry was an Indonesian citizen, then in all probability SAD couldn’t take him out of the country without Lolo’s permission. If Lolo adopted him under Indonesian law, then Lolo’s rights supercede hers, even though she’s the biological mother and Lolo may or may not have been. Upon adoption, under Indonesian law, the child becomes AS IF he or she were the biological child of the father.
