Well, Devane617 said he received it "a while back." So it's possible it was Ramadan-related. We'll just have to wait 'til next year, I guess, and see if the ring goes missing again. But there's a problem: it is haram for men to wear gold at any time; the prohibition came from the Muslim Prophet himself.

I also read on this thread that Barry has been seen eating pork. I didn't know that, either.

I also didn't know that Muslim men weren't supposed to wear jewelry. I've seen Iraqi men wearing gold - in fact, it's not uncommon. Then again, a lot of Iraqis tend not to be as strict in their Islamic practices as in some other countries. (Alcohol is legal in Iraq, women don't have to cover up, they can drive, vote and hold public office, etc.)

Having said that, I don't trust anything Obama does. We really have no idea who he is and he wants it that way. What we do know, such as his association with Ayers, his childhood in Indonesia, etc. tells us enough.

I hope someday, we do find out this thug's true background.
