BTW I love(d) Monk too and Tony Shaloub until I read that he appeared in support of the teachers’ union mobs that shut down our government in Madison, WI. this past Feb. I will never forgive him that act. These mobs are still trying to recall our Governor who has turned our state around and put it in the black for the first time in more than a decade.

Yes, this has tradecraft written all over it, especially the fake books. I bet the “nurse” knew a lot more than she was telling.
I first heard about this mystery a couple years ago. I always thought it was fascinating. I’ll have to get a copy of that book.

Yeah I checked it out 5O bucks is a little too steep right now. It’ll turn up on ebay. A used copy is just as good.

I was watching a snippet of Joe Rogan on Roku this morning, the one where they apparently were going to discuss D.B. Cooper (starts out with Bigfoot, goes to D.B., then to this Somerton man). There have been DNA breakthroughs and other breakthroughs on this somewhat cryptic case, but it looks like a pretty common story of human despair and suicide by ETOH and exposure to me.
