They call me America’s Toughest Sheriff. I don’t tolerate illegal activity. I don’t coddle criminals. And I refuse to sit idly by while Washington turns a blind eye towards illegal immigration and border security.
As Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, I know that our porous southern border puts all of America at risk. It’s time we had a president who knew that, too.
That’s why I support Rick Perry for president, and I hope you will join me.
Unlike other candidates, Rick Perry has never been the choice of the political establishment, never been a paid lobbyist and never served in Congress or an Administration. He is the true outsider… the right man to bring desperately needed change to Washington.
No candidate has done more to secure the border than Rick Perry. As governor, he directed nearly $400 million in state tax dollars to secure the border with more boots on the ground.
As president, Rick Perry will stop illegal immigration and drug smugglers with a massive increase in manpower, including National Guard troops and thousands of new Border Patrol agents.
He will deploy new technology like predator drones, order federal officials to build more strategic fencing and end the dangerous Obama catch-and-release policy that allows thousands of illegal aliens to be released on American streets.
With Rick Perry as president, we can secure the border in just one year.

Sorry, Joe. This is as boneheaded an endorsement since you helped elect Butch Napolitano Governor in 2002.

At least Perry knows what he wants to do unlike Cain who says he’ll get some people together to help him decide what to do. Sheesh!
We need some military, guts and smarts for this job. Not just a business man.

I heard Joe and Rick on Hannity today.
It was a good interview.
I hear Herman cancelled an interview.
I guess he doesn’t feel like talking.
Why one year? It should not take long to build a fence. I say start one hour after swearing in and have done in three months. This is ridiculous....one year? It is just like him to push the date back as long as possible. He does that during debates too. Oh we are talking about the economy tonight well in three days, I will present my economic plan. He is a humorously sad individual. He is STILL at 6 percent. What a bunch of idiots those 6 percent are.
The stench from Uncle Janet’s tenure lingers to this day.
If it is a federal project, he would have to hire unions thus it takes twice as long. Now, if he hired a bunch of illegals it could be done in two weeks.. but that wouldn’t go over to well.

Where did Joe get the idea that Perry was against illegal aliens? He seems more for them then against! I’m baffled by this?
He gave a great interview today on Hannity. He said that as President he will dispatch ‘boots’ on the ground to the border. Finish the fence in strategic areas. Seal it.
Jc...all I can tell you is the governor has been fighting this for years with no federal assistance. He has played the hand that he was dealt while still trying to contain an already bad situation.
Not against Perry .....but...Nobody seems to understand self- deporting .......
Enforce the rules we have and 1/2 of the problem is solved.....Newts plan may even have some merit at that point...
but until we get the Horse before the Cart....we're still sliding down the slippery slimy Rino slope! It really isn't Rocket Science... its about whose road is paved with political donations!
There is already nearly 700 miles of fence. The hold up is Texas, and the enviros.

I missed that interview. I can’t stand Hannity’s way of cutting people short. It’s almost like he loves to hear his own voice.
Now Rush is a different story.
