Very good interview..go Newt, go Greta
Newt hits it on the head - Romney’s got money, I’ve got people. This is what won in SC and it’s what will win in FL. When Newt is in this relaxed setting, he is a fascinated guy with a very uplifting message. He talks with authority about what he will do to work with congress starting inauguration day. He talks from knowledge, not hot air.
I still believe he will win FL. Looking at him as relaxed as he was with Greta, he seems to know something that we haven’t all seen yet. He had a good day today. We will see...
Great questions by Great. Great answers from Newt.
Compared to the dribble and petty questions at the MSM debates it was fantastic. Last nights debate was the WORST for serious issue questions.
I’m not a TV watcher, but I hear again and again that Greta is a really good TV interviewer.
Given the way Fox has been in the Establishment’s pocket, this is great to hear.
Curiously, Greta has recently built a vacation house in our small town in Vermont, where her brother Dirk van Susteran happens to live. I’m told that she isn’t likely to visit here herself, but that her children may make use of the house.
My liberal in-laws were all speaking rather negatively about her political views at dinner the other night—which vastly amuses me. One of the few honest TV interviewers left anywhere. That was also made clear by her handling of Sarah Palin interviews over the past year or so.
Just watched the interview on replay on Fox’s website. Good interview. Newt did an excellent job. Greta asked great questions on consumer spending, unemployment, foreign affairs issues concerning Egypt and Iran.
Yep, fantastic interview. The thing about Newt is that some of his ideas and plans are ambitious, and tend to be hastily dismissed. I myself had trouble with his space agenda, but when he gets enough time to flesh out his plans and what the resultant benefits might be, they make more sense.
Also, when Greta asked him if he was a true conservative, he without hesitation, gave a fantastic and succinct explanation of limited government, individual liberty, among other things.
With no more debates for a month, lots of FOX interviews are on tap...it may help clear the “negativity” atmosphere. FOX and talk radio are especially important in the caucus states where only the politically serious slog down to spend 3 hours at the local school for their precinct meeting. A LOTof the interior West states have caucuses...
Maine and Colorado are caucus states coming up in the next 10 days. Newt is advertising a lot on talk radio and FOX in Colorado (all positive ads)....no peep out of Romney so far, and just robocalls for Santorum.
Newt’s organization in Colorado is not strong, just got up and running in the last 3-4 weeks but widespread popular support.
"time to talk" --Exactly what's missing from these debates; They are run by the networks, who are worried about market share and gotcha reputations. The RNC needs to get these planned mutual suicide pacts dictated by leftist under control. If the candidates don't have longer to answer, (2-3 full minutes would be better), they shouldn't participate.
