Johansen ordered Bruno's daughter, Kaytlen Lopan, to serve 30 days in detention and perform 276 hours of community service for cutting off a 3-year-old's hair... Lopan and her 11-year-old friend "endeared themselves" to the 3-year-old girl at McDonald's in Price, then used scissors to "cut several inches of hair from the little girl's head."... Johansen offered to reduce the sentence to 126 hours of community service if her Bruno cut off her daughter's ponytail in the courtroom.

The judge should have sentenced the girls to washing and trimming beards and hair at homeless shelters.
Yo Val hon, YOU are the one who chose that option.......
Should have shaved them bald.
Here’s my theory- Mom thought it was a good idea. Her and her daughter have one of those relationships where the mother tries to be the daughters “best friend” instead of a parent. Kid got home, yelled at the mom “I can’t believe you let them do that to me!”. Mom is upset now that the daughter is “mad at her”.
Hair for a hair
Oh, your scenario is right on the money for many mothers these days, sadly.
Can I file a complaint against the mother?
The girls had a simple choice. Help a lost child find their mother or torment her. They went with torment.
I have no clue what the mother was doing and she should be held responsible for not watching her child but these two girls should have had their asses beaten publicly and then done a few hundred hours of community service after about thirty days in jail.
Blaming the mother doesn't get these two pieces of garbage off the hook any more than blaming a rape victim for their style of dressing excuses a rapist.
Lost? They were all in the McDonald’s playscape area. McDonald’s posts signs stating children must be supervised by their parents. Mom failed the child.
So that made a three year old fair game and the girls are off the hook according to you?
Are you going to side with these girls next time when they really hurt a child? Maybe bash their head in?
After reading your posts I guess you will but I hope it is the lack of A/C talking and you really don't approve of tormenting wee children because their parents weren't helicoptering.
No you can't that is for the State to do but it appears you support the little monsters too.
Maybe next time they will kill a child. That would sure teach mom a lesson.
“Waaaah! Change the sentence back to 30 days in jail and 276 hours of community service just for filing the complaint.”
Totally agree and it could be legal, too. In order for the final order to have been in place the mother had to agree to it to prevent that jail time. Since she is now complaining, I’d withdraw the order and enforce the original.
“McDonalds posts signs stating children must be supervised by their parents. “
So? That doesn’t indemnify the girls from their actions.
Show me where I let the girls off. You can’t. I said they should have been ordered to serve their punishment in a homeless shelter. I also stand by my statement the mother was not supervising her toddler. If she had been, none of this would have happened. Perhaps it’s you who needs to come in from the heat.
Eaker called in the troops?
Obviously you didn’t bother reading my first post on the thread. If you had, we wouldn’t be having this conversation and you would know I didn’t excuse the girls. However, if mom had been supervising her 3 year old, none of this would have happened.
“Eaker called in the troops?”
Wow, gosh, thanks for saying I was too stupid to find this thread all by my lonesome self, and also thanks for calling eaker so weak and feeble minded he need the little help. If you think my comments were “troop” support you sure have a weak constitution.
“McDonalds posts signs stating children must be supervised by their parents.”
“you would know I didnt excuse the girls. “
“However, if mom had been supervising her 3 year old, none of this would have happened.”
Sure you did. You claimed some stupid and useless sign said mom was to supervise as though moms are never to supervise useless there is a sign saying so. Your last comment says directly this would not have happened if the mother had supervised, which is wrong since it also would not have happened if the two other girls hadn’t acted as they did, not to mention where was their parent.
If parents have to keep a constant eye on their children then it is time to take bold and physical action to remove the predators from society.
You are blaming the mother not the animals. No matter what you add this line stands out.
A two and a half days’ old short thread that’s off the radar that’s suddenly picked up within minutes.
