Take the hard drive out and put it in a external drive case. You should then be able to access it and get your information off.

That's what I did when my HP laptop fried/died. I had a bit of a problem finding my email (windows vista) but finally did and transferred that and my pictures/files over to the new laptop. I still connect it sometimes if there is something that I need on it. It came with usb cable and even a little felt carry bag. Think it was about $15.

The only problem this didn't solve was ITunes content - I had to buy a program online to copy the files from my ipod, transfer them to the new pc in a new install of Itunes.

Is it possible to take the hard drive out of my old blown Dell computer (tower) and some how save what is on it and get it onto my new Dell? cant seem to get anything from Carbonite backup.
