Democrats cleaning up voter lists??? (Vanity)
Me | 7/15/2012 | Me

Posted on 07/15/2012 4:40:15 PM PDT by Sergio

A nice young man knocked on my door on Saturday. He identified himself as being associated with the Democratic Party, and he was going door to door checking current residents against registered voter name a addresses he had on a list.

As I said, he was very pleasant and courteous, but it got me to thinking...are the dems only cleaning up Republican inconsistancies while leaving ghost Democrats on the rolls? Will they use these current numbers to help figure how many votes need to be ginned up to assure a victory?

Doesn't much matter where I live (SoCal), as the Dems always win here, but maybe others have has a similar experience. I've lived here 23 years and it's the first time it's happened.

With the dems, nothing is impossible.

Most likely they were looking for addresses to send their goons to after the selection if Obama wins.

Or making a list of people who used to live there who won’t vote from that address. I run off people like that all the time. Keep your shotgun handy ... for the rattlesnakes of course.

My first thought is that anyone can claim to be anyone. I always think that when a “polling firm” calls me. How do I know it’s not a political campaign scoping me out - or a criminal trying to find out if I’m home. In other words, who knows.

If this guy is really a Democrat, he might simply be trying to find more ‘voters’ to register.

That is something I have never heard of either party doing.

Well if they found out how you intend to vote, you might want to consider keeping your car in the garage election eve, as you may find your tires low on air, otherwise.

If they show up here I’ll tell them that I’m a responsible adult and I always make sure that my voter information is up to date. In fact I checked mine again online the other day.

As soon as he said the word “democrat”, I would have told him to “get f&@! out of my yard!”

The Secretary of State handles the cleaning up of voter rolls...not the Democrat Party.

The dems can register unregistered, qualified voters. Other than that, they should not be bothering you. They might be casing your house.

They are looking for dead registered voters.

Even Republican dead registered voters vote Democrat.

Yes, I have experienced something similar. I live here in South Texas and had a ‘Rat lady show up at my door with some “petition” for term limits for Mayor. I looked over the petition and was suspicious that they needed all the info required to register to vote or cast an absentee ballot. So I asked her why a democrat would want term limits on a democrat mayor in a heavily democrat area. Got the Beavis and Butthead blank stare and she walked away. I hate these cheating dishonest pukes!!!

We’ve got a top notch secretary of state in Michigan now. Ruth Johnson is a bulldog when it comes to electoral integrity.

Exactly. They’ll clean up nothing.

They get upset when states actually clean up their registrations.

We should be proactive by going around and cleaning them up so they can’t abuse them.

Did he show you ID? I’d contact the state party and see if this was for real or not. You’re never going to be able to “clean up” voter rolls by going door to door, there are just WAY too many people on those rolls.

I think it sounds a little fishy.

Thank you all for your input and wisdom. Here is my take away.

1. Not smart to leave your expensive car out in the driveway so you can keep your worthless junk in the garage.
2. Always, always ask for ID and group affiliation of anyone doing something like this.
3. Use the peephole and don't answer the door in the first place.

Experience, as the saying goes, is something you get, AFTER you need it. Again my thanks to all my FRiends.
