They have to get their food, wood, oil and coal from somewhere. They sure don’t want it “in their back yard” because they are too stupid to realize how important it is to be self-sufficient.

You may be right. They may not be scared or care. It shows their ignorance.

Secession doesn't mean war. The FEDs would be making a huge mistake if they did that.

An airstrike against a seceding state might work 1 time. After which about half the Air Force and Navy defects to the seceding state(s) and that little trick won’t work a second time.
