The reward for information to help convict the person who killed four eagles near Granite Falls is now nearly $14,000.
The Stillaguamish Tribe, Humane Society of the United States and Conservation Northwest are offering money to help state Fish and Wildlife investigators.
The dead birds were found Jan. 9 floating in a lake and were apparently shot.

Now, the government WILL investigate that. Four human bodies floating on the lake, who cares?
But 39 bald eagles a year killed by the windmills in Altamont Pass is OK?
Look on DU.
Only a liberal jackass would shoot Eagles just to leave them rot.
By White man...Go directly to jail, do not pass go.
Lawmakers stuck on stupid!!
Did it taste good?
Should have thrown them under a windmill. It would never make the news.
And if it turns out to be a Native American? “Sorry for troubling you sir, have a good day”.
Stilly tribe has no take permit. So it was not a sanctioned
hit.

They are birds of prey, kind of like wolves of the air.
Trying to give a d......failed!
Bald eagles taste a lot like chicken. Personally, I prefer Spotted Owls.

And on a side note, not printed by any liberal MSM news, 3500 babies were slaughtered & killed via abortion - yesterday, then again today, and tomorrow, and every day, equalling approx 1.3 million killed every year. But hey, let's spend lots of money & emotions going after the 4 bald eagle killers.
May these abortionist killers roast in eternity in the Lake of Fire for the murders & atrocities they commit every day.

From a Fox Article:
The wind sector has had an exemption from prosecution under two of Americas oldest wildlife-protection laws: the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Eagle Protection Act. A violation of either law could result in a fine up to $250,000 or two years imprisonment. To date, the Obama administration — following in the footsteps of the George W. Bush administration has not prosecuted a single case against the wind industry. What they have done is gone after oil and natural gas providers for similar infractions.
How does an industry kill more than 2,000 eagles and not be fined once? Johns said. Its a head scratcher.

That’s because eagles are in the vulture family. They eat carrion.
Certainly don’t want one landing or roosting on your yard or should I say tree. The Fed’s find out and overnight you lose that land and a 100’ circle around the site. They are pretty as long as they stay off private land.
Most people I know would kill them for less than $14k. /joking
if you are investigating dead eagles i would make sure and take a look at andy reid and michael vick.
I think one of Tony Hillerman’s mysteries involves eagle sacrifice, not by the Navajoes but by a neighboring tribe. I don’t remember which book it was at the moment.
Actually an eagle can be a pretty bad pest if it starts preying on your farm animals. The bald eagles have been returning to the Maine coast, and there was an angry eagle a couple of summers ago that started attacking people on the golf course. That was pretty funny, listening to people talk about it over drinks.
The eagle article was all over the NY newspapers. It described a ferocious battle between man and beast. Hiram won in the end....and took it home as a trophy....it had a 7 ft. wing spread.
you rarely see an eagle on a golf course. the occasional birdie though.
