New owner of Tiller clinic: 'Abortion is about motherhood'

WICHITA, KS, February 11, 2013, (LifeSiteNews.com) – The woman trying to reopen George Tiller's abortion clinic has claimed that women who choose abortion are motivated by feelings of motherhood in a new interview with a left-wing magazine.

“Abortion is about motherhood,” said Julie Burkhart, who hopes to open South Wind Women’s Center on the same grounds as Tiller's late-term abortion facility, in an interview with Mother Jones.

She said “abortion care” is “about motherhood, because by and large women coming in to have abortions are concerned about the kind of life and the future for their children.”

“Women are thinking in a very responsible manner when choosing that,” she said. “In truth these are very well thought out decisions women are making. They're taking responsibility for their lives and the lives of their future families."

Burkhart is the former leader of George Tiller's political action committee, ProKanDo. Her new organization, the Trust Women Foundation, has purchased the site where Tiller's clinic operated. On its website, the organization states the reopening is its means of “keeping Dr. Tiller’s legacy alive.”

Kansas-based Operation Rescue has already filed a complaint after discovring that the abortion facility's renovation is being carried out without a permit. Eyewitnesses say they have seen Dale's Plumbing Services modernizing the property. Local residents recently presented a petition with 14,000 signatures against reopening the clinic.

However, Burkhart says most of the area has been favorable to her, except for “the antis,” who are “good bullies.”

“We want people to understand that this is a new day; this is a new clinic. We're working on a different model of healthcare for women,” Burkhart said.

The new business will provide abortion only until the 14th week of pregnancy, she said, rather than the late-term procedures that made Tiller's location the source of national controversy.

Those reassurances ring hollow to pro-lifers.

“If this clinic is allowed to reopen, it is only a matter of time before their gross disregard for the law lands more women in the hospital emergency rooms just as Tiller’s abortion operation did,” said Cheryl Sullenger, chief policy adviser at Operation Rescue.

But Burkhart dismisses such concerns. “It's like really, come on,” she said. “We're a town that used to have three abortion clinics. Shouldn't we be able to have at least one ob-gyn practice that offers abortion care?"

She said “abortion care” is “about motherhood, because by and large women coming in to have abortions are concerned about the kind of life and the future for their children.”

Hitler said “holocaust care” is “about jewhood, because by and large jews coming in to have holocaust are concerned about the kind of life and the future for their jews.”

Nope, didn't think so

In any other world, the pre-planned abortion would be nothing more than first-degree murder. The perpetrator (this “mother”), the person who drove her to the clinic for the abortion (accessory to murder), and the filthy abortionist would all be guilty of premeditated murder.

Only in the parallel universe of libtardom would this be a “motherly” thing to do.

Preposterous. Disgusting. Inhuman.

A wonderful window into a twisted and delusional brain. Liberals take the world as it exists and reshape it into a fantasy place where they can escape into a nonsensical existence. She is hoping to make a great deal of money in her murder factory, but will insist that it is a great moral endeavor.

IIRC, the Manson Family said “you have to really love someone to kill them.”

So this wondeful mother is not thinking of herself at all. Not thinking of the expense of a child, the embarrassment of having a child out of wedlock, not thinking of how inconvenient this child is when she was planning a trip to Disneyworld. Not thining, gee I wanted a boy.

She is doing the child a favor by having it’s little brain sucked out and its body pulled out in pieces.

What a wondeful mother.

When Kathleen Sebelius was the Governor of our great state of Kansas, she was in cahoots with Julie Burkhart. They claimed to be supportive of a women’s right to choose, a clear euphemism because abortion, killing, and murder are icky little terms. But their real game was money. The Abortion mafia in Kansas ran a wildly profitable operation with Killer Tiller leading the pack. The profits were obscene and Sebelius was running a protection racket to make sure that they stayed in business.

In Kansas, you could go to jail for killing deer out of season. But babies had no season and there was no limit.

Glad to see your post about Sebelius. Many people, even in Kansas, still have no idea that she protected the abortion industry because she owed her political life to the money she received from it.
We could both write volumes but I’ll remind readers that she hosted at least one big party at the Governor’s Mansion for George Tiller and his staff. I say “at least one” because she was caught trying to pay for it from the state general fund.
Sleazy then. Sleazy now.
