All Members of Congress Need to Declare Their Stance on Nationwide Push For Gay Marriage
6/26/2013 | Laissez-Faire Capitalist

As reported at the Gateway Pundit, moments after the DOMA ruling in the Prop 8 case, Sandy Steir promised "to keep pushing until gay marriage is legal in all states..."

"[Steir]: "...we thank the Justices for letting us get married in California. But that's not enough. It's gotta go nationwide. And we can't wait for that day.""

Now my take:

While the polls may show a shift concerning same-sex marriage, only a few states have legalized same-sex marriage. The questions now are:

1.) How many of the members of Congress still around from the June 7, 2006 Senate vote (concerning the Federal Marriage Amendment motion which failed to reach cloture in a 49 yea to 48 nay ruling, and which failed in the House of Reps 236 yea to 187 nay) still base their vote that this should be a state's right issue? How many new members believe the same way?

I remember many congressional members saying their nay vote was based upon the belief that the federal gov't should not be involved in this issue. So...

2.) How many now believe SCOTUS should force ALL states to recognize same-sex marriage.

While a shift on peoples views concerning same-sex marriage may have occured, if people were polled (both in states allowing same sex-marriage and those that have banned it) and asked if they believe that SCOTUS should force 38 states to also require same-sex marriage, I wonder what the polls would show?

What say you?

I wonder what the voters in 38 states would say to having SCOTUS ram same-sex marriage down their throats?

Here's something the "live and let live" types will never understand... nothing will ever be enough for people who choose to rebel against God and nature.

They will be back making more demands on normal people until they finally push too far.

Time for All Good Men to apply for a marriage license to marry the Dog - a Male Dog - and Why Stop at One Dog. Let’s do away with the Unconstitutional Bans on Bestiality and Polygamy. Damn the GOP and Conservatives.

The issue here is equal protection under the law. If something is legal, you can’t have a protected class and a class that can’t have that same legal right. Whether we think something is moral or not, if its legal for one it has to be legal for all.

Equal protection under the law? Homosexual marriage can and never will be equal! Through it, a child will be denied a mother or a father.

Equal protection is a foolish argument.

Not a damn thing. States, except Texas, usually crumble to their master.
