Valuation: Freedom vs. Fairness
American Thinker ^ | 2-1-14 | Deborah C. Tyler

Through the course of thirty-five years of practicing psychology, I have come to believe that the key to happiness and success in life resides in the power of valuation. True valuation is the ability to recognize the most important value in every circumstance and to behave in order to actualize that value.

The happiest people automatically recognize and act upon true values. Applied psychology has not fulfilled its potential to make the world a better place because it has not focused on the powers of valuation. America's happiness and success as a nation have resulted from the one-pointed emphasis on the value of freedom.

Knowledge can generally be divided into two categories: 1) purely intellectual knowledge about facts, and 2) judgments about valuation that imply the appreciation of the worth or importance in circumstances. Facts in themselves are trivial unless they are associated with values. Intellectual knowledge becomes important when it is used to actualize true values. Generally speaking, life becomes misguided and unhappy due to mistakes in valuation rather than lack of information. This is why purely informational programs that ignore true valuation, such as sex and drug education, diversity, and anti-bullying programs, invariably make matters worse.

Virtue is what she is trying to talk about..... “Fair” is “fair” if it is “Fair” . That is determined by profound Theology/Philosophy, and the USA basically had a firm “idea” of “fair” with John Locke and Adam Smith.

The idea of “Fair” was TOTALLY destroyed by the Postmodernists who destroy language in the Wittgensteinian sense-—to use Dialectical Materialism to force culture to bend to their agenda/ideology.

ALL Marxism destroys Truth/Reason by destroying language/meaning of words-— like “marriage” and “love” and “family” and “FAIR SHARE” and “social” Justice. The term “Social” Justice is devoid of meaning-—since “Justice” does not need a qualifier. Something is either Just or it is NOT.

That is the point-—and this article seems to skip the notion that Truth is eternal and immutable. It is God. Plato knew this as did all the people who designed our Constitution and created our “Justice” System. Just Law has a meaning——which is grounded in Objective/eternal Truth (God-Given Natural Rights). Christian Theology undergirds our Justice System (it used to).

Marxists deconstruct/destroy culture by tearing down Virtue by destroying language and ending debates with PC—to brainwash the masses and control all ideas that are in the public square especially given to children whether in school or on TV. They are destroying the idea of Truth/God/Reason.

Marxism is all lies and cognitive dissonance fed to children making them completely irrational. Without Reason there is no Virtue and control over base emotions.
