President Barack Obama gave a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday with language striking pro-life themes ironic given the massive pro-abortion record he has compiled in two terms as president.
Obama took the podium at the 62nd National Prayer Breakfast at the Washington Hilton and spoke to a crowd of about 3,500.
barackobama7Each of us is wonderfully made in the image of God- we believe in the inherent dignity of every person, Obama told the attendees. No society can truly succeed unless it protects the rights of all of its people.
Extremists succumb to an ignorant nihilism that shows they dont understand the faiths they claim to profess, for killing the innocent is never fulfilling Gods will. In fact, it is the ultimate betrayal of Gods will, Obama said though he was talking about terrorism.
He also said the breakfast gives participants the chance to put aside labels of party and ideology and (be) what we are first, children of a loving God.
Our concern should not be whether God is on our side, but whether we are on Gods side, he said.
No kidding Mr. President you might want to look in the mirror.
The words from the president ring hollow in light of how he, just last month, issued a statement celebrating the 41-year-old Roe v. Wade decision that allowed for virtually unlimited abortions. The decision, handed down on January 22, 1973, overturned pro-life laws offering protection for unborn children in most states across the country, and made abortions legal and virtually unlimited. Almost 57 million unborn children have been killed in abortions since.
The statement follows:
Today, as we reflect on the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, we recommit ourselves to the decisions guiding principle: that every woman should be able to make her own choices about her body and her health. We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a womans access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom. And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children. Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams.
CLICK LIKE IF YOURE PRO-LIFE!
First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden joined the president at the breakfast, which was attended by guests from 130 nations including Bujar Nishani, the president of Albania, and Michel Martelly, the president of Haiti.
Other guests at the head table with the Obamas included Sens. Robert Casey (D-Pa.) and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), former Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and gospel singer Yolanda Adams.
Polling data shows Americans are pro-life and few agree with Obamas unlimited abortion position.
He just won’t attribute personhood to everyone. Some beings are subhuman and can be left to die gasping for air in a closet for hours.
He’s just flexible in the meaning of the word “person”.
AWAYS REMEMBER THAT HIS LIPS ARE MOVING.
Personhood is reserved only for those who worship Beelzebama..
Hosting this islamist butcher at a “prayer breakfast” would indeed inspire me...to get as far away as I could...fast.
Inviting the “Lyin’ King” to a Prayer Breakfast is sort of like inviting Eva Braun to a Hadassah meeting./s
Really? What about the children with terrible diseases who have lost their medical help in CA?
“Well, except for the ones that are ‘mistakes’”.
Irony? Try LIE.
It’s just Obama reading words ,same as when he reads Comic Books
Obama can’t even read the Declaration of Independence without dropping words like ‘(endowed) by their Creator’.
“we believe in the inherent dignity of every person”
I took a medical ethics course almost 25 years ago at a university, and “personhood” was the key justification for killing babies. Some papers by these ivory tower “geniuses” used the personhood argument to justify logically the killing of unborn and born even after two years of age.
The irony is that some of these same people will throw a fit if turtle eggs are unprotected.
Yep...them babies in the womb are killed with dignity.
* except the unborn and conservatives
