I couldn’t take the drugs such as Fosamax. Tried them all. They caused what the doctor called gastrointestinal distress. I started getting Reclast infusions once a year instead. No problems from them.
You are lucky. I can’t take any of them. And with the FDA warnings on them I WON’T take them. I am going the Vit/min route.
They don’t kill, drugs do. OP drugs of this class has 1100 Kidney failure deaths from Reclast, 2400 JAW degeneration lawsuits. This holds about right for the other OP drugs.
FDA’s latest warning is for no more than 3 yr use!
Reclast 1 yr IV GERD/A Fib/ Kidney Failure death, Jaw Degeneration, which stops all dental work and does not repair. Cancer causer too. SO TAKE at your own risk!

Reclast (zoledronic acid) is used to treat Paget’s disease, high blood levels of calcium caused by cancer (hyperglycemia of malignancy, multiple myeloma (a type of bone marrow cancer) or cancer that has spread from elsewhere in the body to the bone, to treat or prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, and to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis. It is also used to treat or prevent osteoporosis in people who will be taking certain steroid medicines for 12 months or longer. It is in a group of medicines called bisphosphonates. Common side effects include nausea, tiredness, flu-like symptoms (e.g., fever, chills, muscle/joint aches), dizziness, headache, or pain/redness/swelling at the injection site. Most of these side effects occur within 3 days of treatment.
Since I am on a OP patient board. I can tell you most of the side effects last YEARS! Not 3 days.
