Hate to say “I told you so” but President Obama’s disinterest in enhancing our combat capability in favor of social egalitarianism and a warped sense of social justice is indeed having an impact on war readiness.
According to the Washington Times, “A Navy F-18 fighter pilot and former Top Gun instructor is publicly warning admirals that retention is beginning to suffer from the military’s relentless social conditioning programs. Cmdr. Guy Snodgrass said sailors are becoming fed-up with the constant emphasis on social issues — an apparent reference to gays in the military, women in combat and ending sexual harassment.”

Who would want to serve with Bammy as CiC?
I don’t like what is apparently the Navy’s new slogan: “A Global Force For Good.” The Navy, as with all of the other military services, ought to be a global force for the defense of the United States of America,not social workers to the world.
If they can’t use the military against the citizens of this country, they want to destroy it.
I know of two career Msgts and a bunch of other enlisted that left for the social issue reason alone.

I entered the military voluntarily under LBJ, which is in it self very questionable. I would never consider it under the messiah!
A friend of mine said just the other day that he feels pretty lucky that he served primarily under Reagan. He says they were put on alert a couple of times but there were no big deployments while Reagan was in the White House.
He did end up in Riyadh for a few months when Bush Sr took over but no nation building games.

A friend of mine, who is thankfully retiring from her public school job in Los Angeles, said she has to teach her second-grade class about same-sex marriage.
