“If we were to successfully put these generators on to these ships, and the ships just went about their normal business, we did find there was potential to reduce the surface temperature by about 0.5C,” Prof Forster said.”

Does anyone else suspect that scientists break the monotony of their jobs by competing with each other to see who can sell the media on the most absurd theory?

Scientists from University of Leeds, UK,Leeds, a Prime Locale of the Loonie Left. "The Scientists" should spend more time working on improving the Fish and Chips available in this dreary town, not to mention the still rather sketchy idea of plumbing available to the natives.
It is also possible that these "Scientists" were misunderstood, as the local idea of English is also rather sketchy.

I'm so tired of so-called science that takes global warming as a given.
They never question the basic premise or whether warming is really bad or not, or how much is even within our control, if any.
Nor do they question how much bang for the buck there would be retrofitting thousands of ships.
Probably because there is no way to calculate that.
They just blatantly assume that every human activity "affects" the climate, presumably for the worse because it IS human activity.

Getting ships to generate smaller bubbles as they sail across the oceans could counteract the impact of climate change, a study suggests. Scientists from University of Leeds, UK, say this would create a brighter wake behind a vessel and reflect more sunlight back into space.
However, it could also increase rainfall in some areas.
I don't even know what to say. Totally speechless. We've now covered everything from the existence of life on earth as the cause of global warming to bubbles in the ocean. What the hell are we suppose to do about waves hitting beaches?
Will anyone of the wackos do an eye roll on even this one?

Of course. It's so obvious I'm surprised anyone is surprised.
The smaller bubbles would counteract the flapping butterfly wings effect, thus stabilizing the climate.
However, if the bubbles get too small we're totally screwed.
If that happens, it would be just like with lead/acid batteries and bubbles building up on the plates.
If that happens, the earth would not have enough cranking amps to continue to spin and we'd all die horrible deaths.

Breaking news!
UN to require all ocean-going vessels to tow a rowboat behind them. There will be a guy in the rowboat with a pin to pop any big bubbles. Unemployment drops 5%!
Al Franken to be first rowboat!
