JUDICIAL NOMINATIONS

Recent Judicial Confirmations Put Obama Ahead of Predecessors

This week, the Senate confirmed a dozen judicial nominees before the end of the “lame duck” session, reports Jennifer Bendery at The Huffington Post.

“That puts Obama at a whopping 89 district court and circuit court confirmations for the year, and means he'll wrap up his sixth year in office with a grand total of 305 district court and circuit court confirmations -- a tally that puts him well beyond where his predecessors were by this point in their presidencies.”

Many of these new judges will add diversity to the federal bench: “Robert Pitman will be the first openly gay judge to serve in the Fifth Circuit, which includes Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Loretta Biggs will be the first black woman to serve as a district judge in North Carolina.” Bendery notes that “[f]orty-two percent of Obama's confirmed judges are women, 19 percent are black and 11 percent are Hispanic, according to data provided by the White House. Eleven of his confirmed judges are openly gay or lesbian.”

Of Romney’s judge appointments, 25% of them were registered republicans.

We need a Ted Cruz in there.

Utter compromise and corruption of the U.S. judicial system nearly complete. And yet people like Hannity and Judicial Watch seem to think they can somehow make it right by going through the courts! They do it over and over like Charlie Brown running to kick the football as Lucy snatches it away. We are not going to get our country back through the judicial system. It’s been in the hands of of the traitor libs for years.

Agree. By controlling the judiciary, Obama’s transformation is complete. These are lifetime appointments.

Yes we need a Ted Cruz in there. And while MAYBE Romney judges would not have been as bad, I somehow have no confidence in it. If we have to elect a snake, I would rather it be a blue snake.

You didn’t like learning about Romney’s judge appointments, did you?

Did you know that he opposed the GOP’s pro life platform?

too bad “equal protection” doesn’t apply to tax rates or tax payments....or to minimum wage laws.....or Obamacare’s “employer mandate” with its arbitriary distinction between businesses possessing “bigness” versus businesses which possess “smallness”.........not to mention making distinctions between “richness”, “poorness” & “middle-classness” under the laws....giving un-equal treatment.

The Bush presidents gave us some losers on the Supreme Court, too. Politicians simply cannot be trusted.

A starting point though should be that they at least be registered republicans.

Only one out of four of Romney’s judges were republicans, and none of them were conservative.

One would wonder why a president would work so hard to fill so many offices with gay candidates when he’s married and straight.../s
