Dr. Timothy Lang removed the lever Wednesday during a 45-minute operation. Lampitt, now 75, is recovering at home.
He was moving concrete blocks a few weeks ago when the arm began to hurt for the first time.
“Everything was fine until it started to get bigger,” Lampitt’s wife, Betty, said. “The arm started bulging.”

Good thing it wasn’t the gear shift.
He sold it on ebay for $200.00 , it was original equipment.
How did that not cause an infection in 51 years?
No homos and few druggies on the assembly lines back then?

I have to laugh... I saw this posted a few days ago... but seeing the headline the first thing I thought was, “Well, if they are taking the turn signal off the column, where are they gonna put it? First they take the highbeam switch off the floor... now this?!? Great.”
