John Kerry Lied: National Gun Registration is Part of UN Arms Treaty

Several places in the treaty text, including Article 5, require all countries to “establish and maintain a national control system, including a national control list.” Moreover, it declares, “Each State Party is encouraged to apply the provisions of this Treaty to the broadest range of conventional arms.”

Article 5, Section 4 says each State Party “shall provide its national control list to the Secretariat, which shall make it available to other States Parties.” Which means our federal government will provide the guns and ammo registration list to the UN, which will provide it to Russia, China, Cuba — any and every State Party that wants it.

DEPOPULATE socialists from the body. DISMANTLE their collectives.

So, the UN is creating a globalized database of every gun owner in the world.

Show me a 'treaty' that has been ratified by the requisite number of US Senators and I might be worried. A pact, agreement or anything short of can go suck eggs for all I care. Try and enforce it, and blue helmets won't be the only ones.

While we have no business trying to become part of the treaty, we don’t need to misrepresent what it says either.

It is about export, not internal sales.

Each State Party shall establish and maintain a national control system to regulate the export of ammunition/munitions fired, launched or delivered by the conventional arms covered under Article 2 (1), and shall apply the provisions of Article 6 and Article 7 prior to authorizing the export of such ammunition/munitions.

Ditto

But it won’t be the UN coming down the street in the MRAPs.

My tin foil hat is fitting better all the time.

Just a little FUD here. Make no mistake, I'm 100% against the UN Arms Trade Treaty, but here's the complete text of the quoted article, with the omitted parts highlighted:

4. Each State Party, pursuant to its national laws, shall provide its national control list to the Secretariat, which shall make it available to all other States Parties. States Parties are encouraged to make their control lists publically available.

Not going to happen in my life time.

Could this portend a “memo” to bring the U.S. into compliance without senatorial RAT-ification? Someone does have a pen and phone.

I’m sure it’ll be like the IRS who follows the law “when it can”.

All anyone needs to know is that the goal of every socialist is exactly the same.

Work to seize control. Once control has been established, then oppress without mercy.

It's always the same and history is filled with examples. No matter how much they deny it, no matter how many times they disquise it in clothes of "compassion" the goal is always the same. The only thing that changes is how they culturally adapt to achieve their outcome as quickly as possible.

Don’t care, won’t comply with any US required registration the US government want to impose, and anyone who knocks on my door about it will invoke the Solzhenitsyn clause.

Show me a 'treaty' that has been ratified by the requisite number of US Senators and I might be worried.

First, ratification is not the threshold you think it is. There have been treaties ratified with no quorum, no record of a committee vote, and no recorded vote. The standard of Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution is "two thirds of the Senators present," not two thirds of the Senate.

Second, the practice of the United States is to abide by treaties upon signature pursuant to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, as a matter of "customary international law." The Senate never ratified the Vienna Convention.

The bottom line is that there will be real consequences to Zero's signature on this unconstitutional treaty. The entire system of international law in this country is illegal. You can learn more about that here.

When my name gets entered on the list it will be as a deceased gun owner. One who did not depart the mortal plane alone.

There still has to be a quorum. With a Republican leader, this should not be a problem, IMO. I’d be more worried with a “Reid” in charge.

While I believe he (Obama and Kerry and all of them) is completely lawless, it won’t carry the weight of law with me and millions of gun owners. They can come and get them.

It's been done without one.

Treaties are the supreme law of the land. I'd like a Constitutional Amendment making treaty ratification akin to ratifying a Constitutional amendment.

They can come and get them.

And will, in return for food, medicine, life, whatever it takes one-by-one.

And so....just what in the heck do you think should be done?
Frankly, I’m here in Georgia where I can have all the guns I want. How about you?

I’m just plain tired of all this pi$$ing on the campfire and then complaining about it, myself.

No help.
